I have enjoyed rubbing it into my duh bears fan friends last night and today.

Von is the best player in the NFL they should not mention Bosa, Mack, JJ Squat in the same catagory as Von. This is the year he should win the DPOY.

That TD probably boosted Mack’s grade quite a bit.

The one huge difference about Von is that he shows up in crunch time and clutch time more than any defensive player in recent memory. This is not talked about enough.

His ability to make the big play in crucial moments is very telling to how dominant he is.

Yup. I'm certainly not advocating for Mack over Von. I love Von. But it would certainly be understandable if a single game grading system had Mack ahead of Von because of that play. And I'm only assuming that's the case, I don't even know what Von's overall grade is.

I would have loved to see that since im a fan of great defense but Broncos play the Rams this year, so probably not.

Donald, Suh, Mack with that secondary, QB's would strugggle.

Are they saying his pass D grade was lower than Mack's?

Von didn't have a back up come in and chuck a ball into his belly he did his work against a SB winning QB. Mack disappeared against one.

He is a stat monster who disappears in games. Did it with the fade too.

That seems like a weird deal for the Rams to make though that D would have been epic for one year.

Even if the Rams wanted to, that wouldn't have worked cap wise. The guaranteed money would all come due once he was dealt.

Edit: actually, yeah it would. Even with the bonus money coming due, if they loaded it towards the front it wouldn't harm their cap if they traded him. Or if they signed him to what would be a 1 year deal with option years it wouldn't harm them.

Rams have Longacre, Suh, Joyner, Saffold as FA's next year, on top of Mack gets tight with Peters, Goff due the following year.

But for one year, i would have loved to see that defense.

If you structure the contracts right and front load them in certain years it wouldn't have mattered with the cap going up.

Broncos do it with most of their contracts, Jags do it as well, the Niners are doing it now.

This reminds me of how everyone was up in arms of Cousins signing with the Vikes and saying they couldn't keep their talent and yet we see they have begun locking guys up to long term extensions.

You can only do it to a certain extent.

Do you guys remember when we signed Manning how a lot of people said it was stupid money for him and they would not be able to surround him with talent due to salary cap?
