Padres won't do jack til they go brown again. That's who they are, the franchise identity. It matters.

Sorry Scribe.....I thought the Yankees would for sure be his choice.

Odd that he wants west coast and small market yet the Cubs are still in it somehow.

If not the Dodgers, I hope he lands in SD or Anaheim.

Small market but the Angels and Cubs are in it...

Aw well, wonder if those last 2 top IFA's we were rumored to be signing before word of Ohtani coming over are true.

I don't know about that. He doesn't understand nor speak English so he wouldn't have the slice idea what they are saying about him on WFAN or in the New York tabloids.

Hey Scribe, it just occurred to me that Ohtani eliminated NYY literally the day after Miami got blown out in the ACCCG.

Could this be karmic payback for lying?

/Too soon?

NYY and AUB had a very good year this year and COL is doing better than expected. MICH did as good as they possibly could considering the number of games Speight and O'Korn started. Miami going 0-12 couldn't have changed that.

Seems like Miami actually has to play semi well for your teams to do well. So maybe if you actually make a good hire for us for once the Yankees won't be owned quite as bad by the White Sox in the coming years

One fringe benefit of Ohtani going to the Angels would be that you would probably not defect to Scribe's Yankees. It's bad enough with him and Tony going circle jerk all the time. If you added a third person to the mix it would be down right unbearable.

Ohtani to LAA (e5)

Miami sucking ass would have seen Speight get hurt earlier and O'Korn replaced sooner. Do the right thing SoCal. Go back to being irrelvant in college football. Talk about your young savages, go back to be anally fisted by Florida and FSU each year, it needs to happen for my teams.

I think he is trying to get the Dodgers to trade for him and waiting it out until they pass or trade for him.

Ya isnít he From LA too? Just canít see them taking on that contract being over already. If they want to spend big they need it done with pitching if anything.

Yes, he went to Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks, where he was a three-sport star in football, basketball and baseball. He was recruited by USC to play tight end

The Dodgers are projected to have a 2018 payroll of $206 million, $9 million over the luxury tax.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...QvG7A/pubhtml#

Personally, I think the Dodgers are more likely to spend next winter after Adrian Gonzalez ($22M), Scott Kazmir ($16M) and Brandon McCarthy ($12M) come off the books and there's a historic free agent class.
