![]() Anymore it seems like the hard-asses aren't hanging around as coaches. Shanahan can't keep feuding with players like he has. Players in today's NFL don't respond to it.

![]() I will always have a special place in my heart for Mike Shanahan. That being said, I'd be surprised if there is "another NFL head coaching job" for Shanny. I'm thinking he winds up being a consultant.

![]() It would be funny if he hired him as a consultant and then just completely ignored all of his input.
"What do you think we should do here, Mike?" "Well, John, I think-" "Yeah, I'm going in a different direction." |

![]() *Elway, coaches, scouts and Shanahan watch tape of draft prospects*
"Alright so let's open it up and see what everybody thinks about these players. Mike, which way is the wind blowing?" "I like the injured one, John." "No, I meant the wind outside. Could you go check on it? I'm supposed to play some golf later. " |

Elway got Shanny's help in getting Manning to Denver, lets not forget that. Shanny also allowed Peyton Manning to stay at his house, and put in a good word for the Broncos when Elway requested via text to Shanny. Quote:

![]() Shanahan is the reason it took this long for Elway to get a job with the Broncos. Don't count on it. Maybe the whole Manning saga changed things though. Not sure how he could help with consulting though. He's a ****ty GM and hasn't done true position work in ages.

![]() Elway stayed away because he didnt see a role for himself FFS. What are you revisionists smoking? He didnt want to step on a coach's toe's who finally got him his rings, especially after he left Shanny in a lurch by waiting to announce he wasnt coming back.
Everything coming out says that Snyder has been interfering with the personnel decisions at the QB position, yet somehow he got everything he wanted in DC? JFC! The Redskins are a dumpster fire for sure, but I dont think any coach can have success in that environment. I still remember Snyder demanding an apology from Norv in front of the team. It was a big mistake for Shanny to take that job, but think he will land on his feet. There are alot of terrible Head Coaches in the NFL. |

![]() hey ol #7 thought I would post something so you wopuld have another reason to litter me with negative reps.
How old are you? I love your rational as to why shanny will get another job, because the NFL is full of lousy coaches and shanny will fit right in ! I too hope shanny gets another gig because if there is any doubt about shannys true coaching skills, his legacy will be forever cemented with his next gig... emphasis on cement ! You probably thought ashlie lelie was the worlds greatest receiver too. |

![]() shanny has been in DC for 4 years, he has had one singular winning season, LAST YEAR
after shanny himself declared his team done and OUT, RG3 put the team on his shoulders and delivered a string of wins ! PERFECT that shanny would then alienate the one guy who saved his season ! shanny also alienated JFE, but ol#7 cant seem to accept that reality either. I have NEVER heard montana or young have anything positive to say about shanny either! But I must have had a bad steak at his restaurant or something to bring up all this negativity. Or maybe I just see him for what he is, a figurehead who caught lightning in a bottle and then let all the success and praise go to his head. |

![]() thats because steve young has class. when was the last time you heard youing say a positive thing about shanny as a HC in the current NFL?
not some sentament from 1994 2o seasons ago ? or JFE or RG3 shanny is deliberatly dumping on his own team with 3 games left to play so he can get fired and get 7 mill? what kind of scumbag coach does that/ shanahan, thats who ! He quit last year too before his team went on a late season 7-0 run too. called his team "done" Cleared out his office a second time . The guy is a lazy fat cat ego driven wanna-be, liiving off past laurels earned by others ! none of his current players want to play for him ! he laid down along with them on sunday ! snyder should make him play out the season and sleep in the bed he has made. 3 more weeks for shanny to show the football world the kind of coach he is ! |

![]() thanks for confirming exactly what I have said all along,'
shanny needs a superstar QB to make him look good. shanny NEEDS a QB who can CREATE when the play called breaks down. if you read youngs words, he is actually praising the QBs that succeed with shanny, not shanny ! shanny is a QB coach, he is NOT a worthy HC ! shanny does understand QBs and WR, he is clueless about everything else! see his D and ST for consistent examples of shannys incompetence ! the brilliant play caller isnt even calling plays, he leaves that to his kid... brilliant ! |
