Default Trump on coming debt crisis: “yeah but I won’t be here”

The friction came to a head in early 2017 when senior officials offered Trump charts and graphics laying out the numbers and showing a “hockey stick” spike in the national debt in the not-too-distant future. In response, Trump noted that the data suggested the debt would reach a critical mass only after his possible second term in office.

“Yeah, but I won’t be here,” the president bluntly said, according to a source who was in the room when Trump made this comment during discussions on the debt.

You gotta love the guy. He’s gonna screw you like his Slovakian hooker and you LOVE IT

Trump truly is a miracle worker if he's got people talking about the national debt.

Trump knobslobbers don’t care about the deficit as long as a republican is president.

That is the general attitude from America’s “greatest generation”... They are so proud of their service and how great they made America yet they become the wealthiest generation in history while the government/leadership they elected ran up the largest national deficit in history.

This generation will get to enjoy their full retirements with Medicare and Social Security benefits and their country clubs and Lexus LS560s. All the while passing on the bill to their great grand kids.

Essentially it’s a huge family reunion at Ruth Chris and the entire family with exception of the college student grand kid is doing a dine n dash. Junior with no money is going to pay off their tab but hard labor for many nights washing dishes.

The debt is growing too fast. It’s doubled since the recession. That doesn’t even seem that long ago.

Edit: that graph is from March. We are approaching $22 trillion.

Do you expect we’ll reach $40 trillion over the next 8 years or so?

You kids still haven't figured out there is an end to every fiat currency ponzi scheme every put into motion. It's always an ugly end btw. Once again I say... no one here reads or understands true history.

How many are you prepared? How many IF ANY understand what I'm even saying.

It's almost like being in a quagmire of a war in the middle east for 20+ years is a bad idea.

I've seen the breakdown of civilization coming for many years - and have tried to prepare for it. I own a substantial amount of gold and silver. But no one is really going to be ready when the axe falls.

Gold is the hedge not crypto crap.

People have made challenges to me that gold will drop below $1000. Never did.

It's rising steadily with uncertainty.

I just keep adding on major dips. It's just like insurance for dxy.

Gaffo we agree on gold. As far as your view on Russia your lies are right up there with Putin and you know it..

Not to mention the Gaffo-Bunker (patent pending) deep in the woods, eh?

There is no value on anything except what someone would give you for it, or trade labor for it. I would give you 10 cents for a pound of your gold, take it or leave it.

Later it will be worth a nickle a pound.

We can't seem to get through a day without Trump exhibiting some kind of pathological behavior.

So here’s my thought on gold. You better have it in your possession when we go all mad max, and the minute everyone else finds out you have gold there are going to be a whole lot of weird looking dudes chasing you through the desert.

Heavy weapons.
