Go get Lamar. Dude is a big time playmaker who can get out of trouble of our line. Just needs practice in the pocket a bit more, and bam QBoTF. Baker Mayfield is also acceptable. Dude from WYO looked like hot garbage the only time I saw him play. Darnold is a one man turnover machine. He needs one more year in college.

Would depend heavily on the season he had. Lack of ideal size and being a spread QB would still be held against him. He wouldnít likely be a top 10 prospect, but with a great season I could see him going in the 1st somewhere. A not so great season and his arm and mobility probably still get him drafted in the 2nd or 3rd. He dropped because of injuries as much as character concerns by the way. He would need to be healthy for the above scenario to happen.

Yeah, he was scouted as a late 1st early 2nd round pick.
Once he was dis-invited to the combine, it all went out the window for him.
Then he injured himself at his Ol Miss combine and he fell through the floor.
The talent is there, but DEN cant afford to waste away this pick and just assume Kelly is gonna pan out.

The wise approach would be to treat him as plan b like the Redskins did with Cousins. No more veteran backup bull****.

Yep. Whoever it is, they need to be named before OTAs. No more open competition crap. Commit and go. If itís a rookie thatís picked top 5, I donít want to see this savage over Watson situation. Hit the ground running like Wentz 2016. Unless itís a high FA 2018 wonít be playoff aspirations anyways. Let the rookie learn, so 2019 isnít a waste.

Agreed. Make the rook the starter, Kelly the backup, and just accept that itís a decelopmental year. Dollars to donuts this is not what Elway ends up doing though.

Every rookie QB needs time to develop. If you are referring to guys who simply canít start their rookie year, then yeah I agree.

Yeah, this isn't discussed enough. In the AFC it's the Pats and Steelers and pretty much nothing else.

He can play from day 1. Like Aga said, every QB needs to improve something out of the draft. Jackson just needs pocket awareness to keep him healthy over 5-10 years. Even Wentz and Goff needed a year. But yeah, no 3-4 year project where it's way too much time to expect it to not go sideways.

Of all the guys in this vote, Jackson needs the most time. He's a one read and run QB that plays in an exclusively spread system. Just like Paxil. Just FYI.

Pretty funny comparing him to PL. I'm pretty sure LJ won't crap himself when he sees an NFL rush coming down on him.

Darnold over LJ...

As the draft gets closer we gonna see some major hype.

****ing Browns and their botched paperwork for McCarren. They lucked into getting first choice unless they keep pursuing for AJ?

Ideally Darnold should stay in college cause Rosen will go before him. Or maybe thatís a good thing for him and he slips to Broncos?

Get out of here...that's how we got PL. And look, another can't miss USC QB. Can he win more games than Sanchez?...

I don't know, I don't watch near enough college ball, but I have seen UCLA games in person over the last 2 yrs including this last one vs USC that he lost. Hard to say IMO who will be better, but the scouts seem to think Darnold has an "IT" factor that Rosen doesn't.

Rosen throws a nice ball though.

Seriously? Nah, just having fun at the great USC hype machine expense. At least Elway will be able to talk old west coast rivalries with this one as he sits on the bench needing time to develop.
