I'm a huge plummer fan, and I'm not really upset with this pick. I'm kinda miffed about giving up a high 3rd for it, but overall I think this could be huge in 2 years. It would be nice to have QB security.

Cutler's got good wheels and a live arm. He fits the bill nicely.

Just teach him the bootleg and he's ready to face KC.

there. i said it. chief fan fodder.
the orange crush days are over.
we now have a bunch of idiots that live to run qb's out of town.
what a joke this whole thing has become.
Wow. There has to be somebody sitting behind Plummer. Right now I'll take Cutler sight unseen over Van Pelt. This kid could be the key to keeping the Broncos competitive for YEARS past Jake's days.

I think you are right about the stupid fan part.

Jake I love you bro...

Elway had taken us to three super bowls previously. We all knew what we had with Elway, Reeves didn't like him though.

Plummer is still a undefined quantity. He has won only one playoff game in three years for us. I think its safe to say that he didn't play great in any of those games either. I've been a strong Plummer supporter... still am. He has yet to win us the super bowl and until he does, I don't think we can stop trying to make moves that will eventually make us better. Shanahan's top teams have always been driven by great QB's. Young and Elway multiple times.

This could be a long term answer for us. We have Mike here to coach him up. Heimerdinger was instrumental in bringing McNair to a MVP level.

We have Ashley looking to get out of Denver when most of us all think he is a talented player, with nobody that can get the ball down the field to him. He is a free agent after the season. We can do whatever we want to do with him. Franchise, Transition... anything. We can keep him if we want.

We can potentially make a move for Javon Walker... sign him to a long term contract.

Rod will still be around. The running game will be there.

We sit Cutler for a year and surround him with these weapons and one of the best OL's consistantly in football, we could have another offensive machine in just two seasons.

We have flexibility and we can win next season still. This is all you can ask for. Go Plummer... Push his ass Cutler!

Get a grip.
...and i named two of them already, or like most ADD bronco fans did you just conveniently miss that part?

this was worse.
we have a 30 year old probowl qb, and we already lost a leader on offense and our best defensive lineman.

excuse me for wanting to win.
call me crazy, but when my team goes 13-3 and is in the afc championship i kinda want to see them try to get better.
we've done NOTHING to improve this offseason, and now we waste a f***ing 11 pick on a qb that wont do **** for us.

call me old fashioned. maybe its just that i actually have a brain unlike many of our fans.
when youre that close to winning it all you dont draft a damn qb.
you draft players that will help the qb you already have.

WORST PICK EVER

maddox was at least a LATE 1st rounder.
middlebrooks was also, and at least he played a few downs.

this is a f***in train wreck, and thats all there is to it.

ill spend more time with my family and more time on the golf course.

whoever said im going to have a heart attack is right.
thats actually how i feel. not good.
i dont f***in need it.

we lost a leader in mike anderson.
we lost our best defensive lineman in trevor pryce.
we have ashley lelie trade rumors.

we need defensive line help.
we need another threat at wideout...

.....and we trade up to get a f***ing quarterback.

i cant and wont ever stop being a bronco fan, but i can choose not to give them my money.
im so pissed right now my chest hurts and my hands wont stop shaking.

ill be selling my tickets for about half the games.
f*** it. ill play golf and watch on tivo.
ill have my back surgery (which i was going to put off until after the season).
ill make some of my money back. the team made it clear they dont give a **** about winning, so why should i change my life to accomodate them.
i feel like i got f***ing slapped in the face.

no way im going to subject myself to the "put cutler in" screams after
every plummer interception.
no way im going to live the heartache LIVE watching a team that had every opportunity to get better and did NOTHING but get worse.

im a bronco fan for life, but ive never been so angry at the team.....ever.
not even close.
we just ruined a very promising situation, and i dont know if i can get over that.
distance. time. maybe.

for now, i need to stop my hands from shaking. i need to stop the chest pains.
maybe i shouldnt be so emotionally attached, but i am.

Exactly, Denver filled a need what if Plummer blows out a knee or shoulder in preseason, this could be a big ben type pick up.

Your right, the season is done. We should all just jump ship now and commit suicide. Its not like there is anymore of the draft.

You know what Jake? If other posters were personally attacking you the way you are right now? Well, it would be lecture city.

Not liking this pick doesn't make you a better or smarter fan than those who like it. Just means you have a different opinion.

Oragne 4 life I feel your pain and while I'm happy with the move try looking at it like this .

PLummer isnt being fired, he's been motivated to win it all and as long as he keeps making real improvements HE will be our starter. We arent going to replace a greatly improving winner that takes us all the way with a young guy just learning the game.

Jake will be 32 this fall and if as many of us feel he has reached pretty much his potential here, we DO need to groom a genuine replacement/backup nonetheless and who better to pick than a guy who can potentially keep us from falling off the map if Jake gets injured or has peaked in our systems and starts to slide.

Look at it as the best shot in the arm PLummer could have gotten to work as hard as he can every single day to make it happen and PROVE he deserves the job. If he sours under the competition that PRoves he is not our man. This is the true litmus test for JAke and he can step up and claim it all.

He wont lose the job unless he deserves too ... guaranteed!

At least now we have a real option in the making though, should Jake not make that next big step and Cutler can be developed gradually without having to rush him in too early.

Once in a very blue moon you get a Tom Brady in the lower rounds, but that is like winning the lottery and maybe the best QB in the draft fell almost right into our laps!

I know you are feeling blue right now, but keep your chin up, it will all work out for the best!

Aloha

1. Jake has a great year but could have been amazing and our offense will be
2. Shanny likes his offense but wants to explode the vertical game
3. Cutler has amazing accuracy - something missing in Jake
4. Broncos draft board had Cutler listed ahead of Leinart
5. Jake is in the last year of his contract
6. We have no 2nd or real 3rd string QB
7. We need a 2nd string QB to win 10 games this year
8. Lelie will be here
9. Culter goes through his reads faster than Jake does as a pro
10. Our WR game just opened up instead of being a single WR & TE passing game
11. There are no good QBs in the league right now and Denver tried in FA to get a backup
12. Cutlers Mop is similar to Jake the Mountain Mans Mop

We just drafted Drew Brees with speed - I LOVE IT!!!
