Come on , we know why the owners did this. You say ratings, I say fear of getting Twitter bombed during mid term elections.

For the record, Player's Union was not consulted, and only one owner abstained ( Jed York ) who just saw his rep with players drastically improved.

To be fair here, isn't silently kneeling a fairly respectful form of protest?

Smart man. I'm surprised Jeffrey Lurie didn't do this as well since he's been pretty outspoken about his players' rights to protest.

You’d get your ass thrown in jail and pay a fine if you disrespect the Mexican flag in Mexico. Ask Miley Cyrus about that.

No, not when the proper form of respect (in this case) is to stand

It's a good thing the most powerful man in the free world doesn't have an axe to grind against the NFL.

Yeah. Real patriotism at gunpoint.

Not patriotism, it's called RESPECT

Okay, but you didn't answer the question. So, if I was grading your paper, you'd get a D-, and that only if I was being generous.

The NFL considered the opinions of everyone and went with the ones that matter.

Meh. York was the first owner to dump Kaepernick when it didn’t look good for the teams image.

And did the same thing to Eric Reid.

Not a coincidence both could play but SF still dumped them.

They aren't being forced. They can stay in the locker room.

Jets owner picking up protester tab. Let’s see how that works vs teams who are respectful to the flag & what it stands for.

BTW, fines should go to disabled vets or fixing VA hospitals.

Look at the thread.

No one is talking about the reason of the protest. No one. The entire subject is what they can or can’t do and it’s been that way since mid season.

It will not be about cop injustice anymore. It wasn’t about cop injustice the last half of 2017. This year they will find a different way during the anthem just because the nfl said they shouldn’t kneel. That’s what it’s about now. And that taints their entire reason for doing it in the first place.

Your right but explain the why of Americans owned slaves if all men were created equal? Also, the whole point of why the civil war started? Kinda went the other way on that one lol.

Humans have had slaves back through history.

What is a more thoughtvprovoking question is why a man would give his life to free a stranger from slavery.

As citizens of a free country, should we disrespect the flag & veterans who continue to keep our families safe?
