Another go-round of evasion and misdirection from Tonyels.

What's one more post out of the thousands you've already spewed at us, eh?

Says the person avoiding the same 3 questions over & over.

What is your religion?

What rule has Trump broken in your religion?

Who set that law or rule?

You're the one who is professing to be a follower of a religion here, so you should be answering these questions.

When you think "Christian," then this is the first image that pops into your mind, right Tonyels?

I’ve answered all of them.

What is curious is your avoidance of three simple questions.

Speaks volumes.

You must really need to deflect those 3 questions.

Nice try.

I’d edit that post too.

The left has no moral standards so not sure what you’d point to as any standard.

Survival of the fittest or just make up your religion as you go along.

Your new age Oprah religion says there is no such thing as sin. So why be upset?

You've ignored Cheetolini's sins - of which there are many.

Your "answer" is that Benedict Donald can act in a manner that's antithetical to Christ's teachings as long as he claims to be a Christian.

Once again: You're not a Christian - you're a Christopublican.

Your "questions" are nothing more than dishonest attempts to obfuscate and misdirect. The question is whether tRump is a Christian or not.

Actually, the ideas of health care for all, equitable distribution of wealth, housing, food and education for all are far more aligned with the ideals of Christ than anything trickle down economics and right wing xenophobia can come up with. Your version of "Christianity" is nothing more than paranoia by another name.

What part of I don’t care what your assessment of religion is do you not comprehend? Again, I’d be more worried if you agreed with me.

Your refusal to answer says it all. You started this thread.

So Dude, what’s your religion? Dude, what’s your law Trump broke? Dude, who set that law?

I'm beginning to wonder what you are arguing here: That Trump is above the law? That "man's" laws can be ignored by Trump?

Just trying to figure out which car your riding in on the crazy train.

You simply refuse to criticize Cheetolini for his obviously anti-your-Jesus behavior.

When Two Gay Catholic Tribes Go To (Cold) War

This is...for lack of a better word...INteresting. And the reader comments make it even more so. The one below, for example:

I was a novice in one of the largest religious orders for the past two years, but ended leaving recently. The ‘Cold War’ dynamic, while true to some degree, fails to capture the reality of the situation. Jim’s comment that’s more than a two-way protection racket is much more accurate.

The reality, from what I saw on the ground, was that most priests and seminarians struggled with the lifestyle, whether straight or gay. (Though the gay ones did seem to struggle more on average, cognitive dissonance maybe?) In other words, everyone had their problem(s). One man might have sexual dynamic issues, while another abused alcohol (often these went in tandem). Pornography, overspending, personal isolation, sexual frustration, depression, anxiety, etc. It truthfully seemed that either the vocation attracted men with problems, conscious or unconscious, or that, over time, it created them. My point being, in their current state, at least of religious life in my order, did not provide a healthy lifestyle for the men in formation or ministry. As a result, men start to act out in deviant ways to various degrees (I never saw or heard anything involving minors, alcohol use was much more common) and create these nasty situations that the Superiors and order administration have to come and clean up.

The issue becomes worse when the Superiors themselves have their own issues and secrets, leading to “more than two-way racket” where mutual coverups begin and behavior starts getting excused so the Superiors themselves don’t face the consequences

When I heard about Mccarrick’s actions for the first time, my first reaction was ‘that seems plausible.’ Given the structure of my order, and other institutions in the Church, someone like McCarrick could easily enact their predatory deprivations. But we know that already.

What I think people fail to take into account is the seemingly unhealthy lifestyles of priests and religious, it is quite easy to fall into despair, loneliness, overwork, etc. We need to start forming healthier clergy, period, or else these scandals will only continue to occur whether when Father arrives to Wednesday morning Mass drunk or when a credible abuse allegation is made against a beloved monsignor.

In other words, fantasy narratives are excellent entertainment, as long as you don't try to live them.
