NFL has been around 97 years. 46 wins over a 3 year span has only happened once.

a little disingenuous considering most of the NFL's history didn't have a 16 game season and a 4 round playoff tournament

Broncos winningest NFL team over 3 years in any time span you'd like to reference. Don't care if you start in 1920 or 1978.

Do you think we don't KNOW THAT?!

We KNOW that!

People say Cleveland's never been to a Super Bowl, should we stop saying that? Because they played in 9 NFL Championship games and won 4 the 16 years before SBI.

no, but if someone made a point out of saying "Cleveland hasn't won a super bowl in the 96 year history of the NFL," I would surely point out what was wrong about that statement

They haven't won a SB...Sure there have only been 52 SB's but Cleveland still has not won 1.

Well, we had 12 game seasons not too long ago when you compare it of 97 years of existence. Some of the seasons would have to go undefeated and still not make 46 wins.

Stating since 1978 when they expanded to 16 games would be much more accurate.

Okay, if you want to be insufferable don't post in this thread. Broncos are winningest team over a 3 year period in the history of the NFL. That is how it's written in the history books.

Nobody keeps separate stats for pre-1978 wins, or passing yards, or TD's. There is no demarcation for all-time NFL records.

No such thing as a contrarian pre-1978 NFL record book.

Yet you will be the first to b**** that there should be an asterisk by the team that beats our record if they go to 18 games and a 5 level playoff!

Not hardly. Btw, this is a record that Mike Shanahan is extremely proud of. You can hear his interview last week with Sandy Clough. Pretty cool fact if you're into this kind of stuff.

The 2015-2017 Patriots fell one win short. The Broncos record stands.
