Default Bench Von

For reals though... why is no one talking about this?

Von is not the best defensive player in the league and never has been. His entire career here has followed the script of disappearing for 4 games at a time... having a break out game or piling up garbage stats in random game... and disappears again. Great players do it week in and out. Von has NEVER been that guy.

These last two weeks were pathetic. Constantly sitting on the sideline looking like he is dying and no effort on his pash rushes in the game. He had one on one match ups the entire game against the Chiefs and was only chipped a couple times... and he did nothing. I know he was probably playing contain a bunch... but still no excuse not to make plays... and why the hell is our "best" player being relegated to contain every play?

The "Legend" should leave again.

In 3 Playoff games in 2015 Von had 5 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles and an Interception.

Von Miller this season already has 4 Sacks and a FF. It actually took him until game 7 in 2015 to get those stats. Miller affects the game in many more ways.

Also Mahomes escaped 2 Miller sacks on Monday that no other QB in the league would have managed.

Thanks for making my point. Von hasn't done anything worth a damn since 2015 and he is making like 25 million a year. This is not satire. Before this game he was playing 68% of the snaps... and I bet it was even lower this game. The best players in football don't sit on the sidelines 30-40% of the time sucking air.

Actually it's more like 19 million but that's besides the point. Your post is still ridiculous.

From PFF:

DEFENSIVE LINE RANKING, WEEK 3: 12th
The Broncos’ defensive line goes as star edge defender Von Miller goes and after logging just one total pressure against Baltimore in Week 3, Denver’s front four ranks 10th in the NFL. Miller has still earned a 7.5 pass-rush productivity so far this season, but the figure pales in comparison to what he’s capable of. Rookie Bradley Chubb leads the team in pass-rush productivity at 7.8, ranking ninth among the league’s qualifiers at the position.

The problem is Woods and his schemes and substitution patterns. Von needs to be out there rather than platooning with Ray, Barrett, and Chubb.

To the Butt with this idiocy.

Did anyone ask VJ why Von was on the sidelines so much? We know he has asthma and allergies to grass. But Iíd like to know if itís Woods subbing in and purposely taking him off the field...if thatís the case Woods should be fired today.
