Think the Chiefs will trade us Mahomes for Keenum?

Only 2 games, but so far he looks almost as good as Siemian did at this point last year.

Chiefs still 3rd place.

Lol. c'mon now. Semen never flashed anything close to what Mahomes has shown. They couldn't be more different from a physical tools standpoint.

Yeah, I think it's time to upgrade to Defcon 2 as far as Mahomes is concerned, he's legit until proven otherwise. Can't overlook him anymore.

Good for the Chiefs I guess. This is like the old Dicky V years though, put up 50 points, giveup 49.

Doesn't work in the playoffs.

Can’t wait to see KC offense vs Denver defense in 2 weeks. Should be a great battle.

I’ll have to change the channel when the Denver offense and KC defense is on the field though

KC offense will beat the hell out of our defense unless the pass rush shows up

So far it looks as if Zerovoltz nailed it...may have actually understated it a bit -

It's still WAYYY too early for this. There's a lot of QB's that looked good until opposing defenses got tape on them and figured out their tendencies. If it's still this way at the END of this season, THEN you can crown 'em!!

All hail Mahomes, the next Aaron Rodgers. And there isn't QB situation reversal, because journeyman Keenum has to improve a lot before he is Alex Smith.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the NFL's top-rated QB now.

Who thinks that means something in week 2?

10th in yards, Our Mike Gleenon is 13th.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best QB in the NFL bar none.

It's easy to pop the ball up to a guy coming behind the LOS on a jet sweep for TD's. Plus the stillers, who couldn't beat Cleveland, were without Bell and their best CB. Short Fields after long Punt returns make it easy to pad TD totals.

Jags will bring the pain and your Cutler will show his true face.

The thing with Mahomes is he's got nowhere to go but down. Will be interesting to see how this plays out but inevitably rough waters are ahead.

Thanks....look, the thing isn't even the amazing stats....you need to watch the film. The kid LOOKS off the safety better than 95% of QB in the leauge already. You can see his head rapidly move from target to target and when he decides that he found the one he likes, he doesn't hold it too long, he gets it there in a hurry. 2 of his TEN TD PASSES were of the short flip shuttle variety...take those out of the equation if you want to (they count, just like they counted when Elway threw them to Steve Sewell but whatever) Hi pocket presense is BRADY like. Keeps his eyes downfield the whole damn time he is in the pocket and isn't at all bothered by the rush around him.

Andy Ried is a great schemer...and he will scheme guys open......but I would like to point at Mahomes DEPTH OF TARGET....it's INSANELY DEEP DOWNFIELD. That was evident even last year in the start against the Broncos..Mahomes had 16 targets that were 15 yards or deeper in that game against Denver...Alex Smith averaged less than 8 per game over his career with KC. Mahomes did that in 3 quarters of football last year.

He IS a generational talent. He has weapons around him.

Mahomes on the Range > Greatest Show on Turf.

Whoa Whoa...slow down there hoss. I was just pointing out the discrepancy in play between him and Keenum...so far.

Ain't nobody sewing up Mahhomey sized golden jackets yet. (Although it sounds like you have been literally shotgunning the Kool-Aid - you seem a bit overstimulated by him)

This is just a ridiculous post on so many levels. He’s looked good, but “pocket presence of Brady” and “looks off the safety better than 95% of QB’s” is just pure stupidity. Can’t you just be excited about his potential without making him out to be a HoFer after two games? Jesus.
