Default If Cam Netron was your QB

Different tune or sticking with the 'douche' theory?

But can you pull for him? I know we have Von but Von he is trained to kill people. Cam needs to just suck it up. A guy that will never carry minimum m wage.

Sure. I care more about the Broncos then I do about individual players personalities. We win, I'm good.

I so WANT to agree with you.... I really do. But can you? After so much investment with the Broncos culture and way of life? Elway never would have went 'there'.

As a fanbase, we have been through Elway, Brister, Griese, Plummer, Frerotte, Kanell, Miller, Beuerline, Jackson, Van Pelt, Cutler, Simms, Orton, Tebow, Manning, Osweiler, Siemian and Lynch since 1998. I can handle the shenanigans of a hypothetical Cam Newton as a Bronco.

We win, I'm good. We lose...well...throw the b**** out.

Exactly. We'd love him. And we'd be really, really good with him at QB. So he wouldn't be doing much whining.

If he was our QB there would be mass b****ing about the refs.

I'd disagree- Cam uses his athleticism and size as a tool, so you can't whine like a pansy b**** when you get cleaned up. Even if he were a Bronco he deserved the pounding is he played/ acted this way.

Agree that CN acts like a d*ck. But, illegal hits are illegal hits. And douche or not, he should get the same treatment on those hits as all other QB's. There's some compelling evidence that he doesn't: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...officials-2016

Meh. The "helmet to the chest" among those anecdotes is the worst. Note him trying to throw the ball through that hit.

I don't see why if a QB's willing to sell himself out to get rid of the ball a defender should be accountable for how Cam opens his body to the hit. He b****ed about a similar play vs us where instead of turning or going down to protect himself, he exposes himself to quick flip the ball out (illegally as it was called grounding)

Should have been a sack. Most QB's just eat it there to protect themselves as he should have. But he constantly leverages that physicality and then b****es at the consequences.

Yeah.... the author used what he described as a good clean hit to show bias against Newton. He also showed Von's strip sack and called it helmet to helmet. The Campbell hit was clearly blown but even Shaq's grazing of Cam doesn't really seem that bad. There may be some missed calls but of these weren't that clear to me.

I'd agree you want consistency among calls, but he's made himself a target, puts himself in the position regularly, and defenders know they can gain a competitive edge on superior offensive player with questionable blows. I'd happily pay a 25K fine for a facemask shot if it got Cam "scared" to play football.

Steeler talking about Cam, don't be out there is you're scared. We've had QB's that we've talked **** about, Cam would get the same in Denver.

Bronco fans would love him. They supported a douche in Cutler even when he was not a great QB.
