![]() I'm ok with Fox. I don't consider him great, but they could do worse. What is important is having a good coaching staff around and they pretty much do.

![]() Player development and half time adjustments typically have been good with Fox.
Overall, this is kind of "meh" for me. |

![]() It's not losing the Super Bowl with an injured team that is the problem with Fox. It's that the team was obviously unprepared for the Super Bowl, particularly regarding the crowd noise. That, and the fact that the head coach is a moral victory loser type. Not too shabby.

At the same time I knew no change would happen in Manning era anyways so why even think about it. Whether you love or don't love Fox. |

![]() I'm not real happy about this as that SB loss left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm less enthusiastic about this team than I have been in a long time. I'd like to see the details of this new contract and see if Elway has an out clause after one season, perhaps a buy-out clause. If I was Elway I'd have given him a 2 year contract which is basically a one year contract and if the team craps the bed again in the playoffs, I'd fire him.

![]() Its whatever
I was fine with letting Fox go after this year if it meant we kept Gase But at the same time I get not blowing things up yet with Manning sill under center Maybe we can get lucky with injuries and if we make it back to the bowl get someone like NO instead of Seattle |

![]() If Elway sees Gase as the up and coming HC and best option to take over after Fox I would assume a way to make that transition has been provided for. If Elway wants Gase no way Foxs new contract closes that door.
Elway to Gase, " Be patient Adam as soon as Peyton retires the HC job is yours" Last edited by baja; 04-05-2014 at 08:52 AM.. |

![]() Kind of reminds me of the 49'ers when they had Shanahan as Offensive Coordinator with George Siefert as coach. The 49'ers wanted to keep Shanahan but didn't want to let a successful head coach go (Siefert). The 49'ers lost Shanahan just as the Broncos will probably lose Gase.

![]() Fox probably won't coach a down after Peyton retires. I'd look for a want to spend more time with the family "retirement" as soon as the team needs to be rebuilt in 2016 or 2017.
