They paid the 82k! You were right they caved. They got a lot of airplay for 82k.

This weeks bets.

New Jersey bookmaker FanDuel declined to honor a $110 bet on the Broncos on Sunday that would have paid more than $82,000, due to an error in the oddsmaking process, the company said.

"The wager in question involved an obvious pricing error inadvertently generated by our in-game pricing system," a FanDuel spokesperson said in a statement.

The bettor, who identified himself to News 12 New Jersey as Anthony Prince, placed the wager over the counter at the sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack with Denver trailing the Oakland Raiders 19-17 late in the fourth quarter.

After quarterback Case Keenum completed a pass down to the Oakland 18-yard line, putting the Broncos in comfortable field goal range, FanDuel attempted to update the live betting odds to reflect Denver as a -600 favorite. However, according to the company, an error in the live-odds feed caused the Broncos to be posted as 750-1 (+75,000) underdogs to win the game.

Prince went to the counter, bet on the Broncos at the erroneous 750-1 odds and received a ticket that showed a potential payout of $82,610. At the correct odds of -600, he would have won a net $18.35.

Denver kicker Brandon McManus hit the 36-yard winning field goal with 10 seconds to play, giving the Broncos a 20-17 win, but when Prince went to the counter, he was told the bet would not be paid out at the 750-1 odds.

FanDuel instead offered to pay him around $500 and give him tickets to three New York Giants games. Prince declined to take FanDuel's offer and told News 12 New Jersey that he planned to hire an attorney.

Apparently, Fanduel has changed thier mind and is going to pay the guy the disputed $82,610. Good for this guy in not being intimidated into taking a chump change buyout.

And he got the full amount. I knew they would cave, but maybe for around half the amount, so good for him for getting the full payout. I know he threatened to get a lawyer, but don’t know if he actually retained one.

Anyway, he was smart to go straight to the media. Bookies are probably below attorneys on the likeability scale, so once it hit talk radio, Fanduel was toast. Everybody rooted for the bettor and sneered the bookie. Fanduel will not miss the money, they seem to be doing well, and they want to get this behind them.

Won a bet, lost one. Won Freeman scores a rushing TD, lost first score would be a FG

Should have bet more for a Detroit win at +235. But that's how it goes betting, hindsight and regrets.

2-2 on me. I didn't have it in me to take Baltimore but I felt that was an easy win.

I dont think they win by a small amount. This is a lock for teams going in different directions in my opinion.

They're 3-0 without bad officiating against the #2 team in the league.

Doesn't mean they won't collapse again this year, but Denver's a top 10 team right now.

Top 10 draft pick. They are a dropped ball by a FB from 1-2. Love the enthusiasm but it is totally a homer pick.

Sharps are slamming Denver. And again, #7 team overall vs. 16-24. At home.

Sharps all over Denver. If I'm looking at this game from a betting standpoint, smart money seems to be on Denver or to just stay away altogether. I still think KC slams us.

Where are you guys seeing this? I've only heard one sharp saw he would lean Denver if he had to bet it and only because the Monday night home dog and rivalry game.

Denver is rank number 22 in the league by the best capper in the business.

Line opened at -5. Public is hammering KC. Line is down to -3.5.

That doesn't tell you anything?

Today for me.....

NO -3 -120
Buff +9
Mia +250 ML
ATL over 52.5

If public was hammering KC line would have went even higher. Line opened anywhere from -4 to -5 and public bet it down to -3.5 betting Denver. Pros are going to be all over KC getting a better line.

Atlanta over seems like a great bet.
