Default Week 3 (at Ravens) Top 5 Offensive Players (DT is Elite)

McGovern must have had a monster game because he had 2 huge holding penalties.

Welp.
Good to see there’s 4 of 5 drafted players in there.
So there’s that...

Lol 77.3 isn't elite. Change your thread title, it's FAKE news.

77.2 is average starter level for DT. McGovern grades out as a Pro Bowler. In fact, McGovern is the only Broncos Offensive player to grade out above an average starter in this game. Pretty pathetic.

Jewell had an impressive day for the Broncos, proving himself to be more than solid against the run. It was in coverage where he really stood out though, with his impressive day highlighted by a pass breakup while covering tight end Mark Andrews out of the backfield.

They were never in a game they won? Good take! Or is this an inside joke that I missed?

This is what I don't get.

We've been starting Marshall every game, and every game the offense goes after him in the exact same damn way.

1. Play action, TE inline then release up the middle.
2. Marshall is busy chasing air off the play action is late to recover.
3. Offense gets a couple of clean, easy intermediate throws to the TE.

Eventually we insert in Jewell and it gets cleaned up.

How stubborn do you have to be as a head coach to wait until Week 3 to figure this stuff out?

Pete Carroll immediately benched Griffin week 1, after two drives when it was clear he couldn't read and react well.

Vance Joseph is out starting Marshall and only now admits Jewell is the primmary backer while Marshall is only playing in dime.

Accountability, only when it's too late. That's Vance Joseph.

Same crap happened last year. I wanted McGovern to start ahead of Garcia but it only happened when it was too late and Leary got injured. Same thing with QB when it was clear Siemian was playing scared in the pocket.

Vance Joseph is literally that one guy who'll smell smoke, feel his a$$ on fire, and still be sitting on his couch saying "Nope, nothing's wrong" while the building is burning down and fire services are outside evacuating everyone.

To pile on this... I have never heard VJ give it to a player in the media. In fact, he always makes excuses and downplays the major issues we all see with our own eyes. He is choosing not to see and admit them for the sake of a players feelings... or he is really freaking dumb. "Case" in point... he "is not concerned" about our QB leading the league in INTs despite preaching ever since moving on from Trevor our QB needs to take care of the ball and quit turning it over. Which is it? The team or Case's feelings? F this garbage. Hold them accountable or GTFO.

The team (VJ) cares more about public opinion than winning MF football games.

To be fair here, we don't know for sure what VJ is saying/doing behind the scenes. There are a lot of coaches/managers who don't throw their players under the bus publicly, and in fact most probably don't. That being said, I do wonder whether he's too soft on the players.

Joesy Jewell started the Baltimore game so the coaches saw his value starting the rook on a 2-0 team.

Think the VJ hate regarding not playing The outlaw is unfounded

Each coach has his own style when dealing with the media
Coach Shanahan used the media to leak info about a player’s performance
Joe Gibbs never would in the media.
Belichick gives nothing in the media but we know he’s cusses our his team inside the facility.

To each his own

Eh, they didn't "forget" him. They just had somebody else rated slightly higher.

PFF scores every snap from the All 22. I doubt you were able to see what Von did on even half his snaps. Point being, PFF isn't perfect and has its flaws, but they have far more info than you and I do. And maybe they're even "wrong" in this case. But I wouldn't get too worked up over a couple other players being rated slightly higher. It isn't some grand conspiracy.

I have the All 22 but I don’t need the all 22 to know what 3 sacks , a forced fumble and a fumble recovery looks like.

Hey he has a good week at practice! This coaching staff is the opposite of the leader of men. They dont make any decisions and sit on the fence. Its incredibly annoying that they are afraid to try stuff until they are forced too.

on bright side it looks like broncos have a couple of good new starters this year in McGovern and the outlaw (in addition to Chubb, and Freeman/Lindsey).

Jewell started against Bmore? Sweet. Adios Marshall. Great move by VJ. That means Marshall's pt will continue to drop, which is good news for the Broncos.

Good sign for the coaching staff that they would bench a highly paid crappy vet to start a mid-round rookie in week 3.
