What kids are you talking about?

Did y’all get outraged when the Murray Energy CEO forced his employees to attend a Mitt Romney rally and pressured them to donate to his campaign?

What about when Papa John himself threatened to cut his employees benefits if Obama was elected?

Each certainly gives us insight into the mindsets of each of those companies' management.

I'm not really upset by any of it. It's generally good to know what everyone's biases are. Especially from those who are otherwise loath to come truly clean with them.

I mean FFS let’s count all the CEOs who’ve outright opposed Trump AFTER the election. The list is long. Jamie Dimon is the latest.

Are we still outraged at the 15 CEOs who quit his business councils in protest?

Again, it's just important to know where companies like Google come from ideologically. Especially when they have so much influence over information distribution and media.

Being against Trump being President isn’t an ideology. It’s just basic sanity.

Well conservatives are free to go start companies that spew out biased info too - wait never mind they already have plenty of those

Dominant market share.

And a business strategy that simultaneously contends that they're not liable for the content (or the legality) of the traffic they relay, even as they work ever harder to curate it to their own ends.

Dominant market share is not the basis for antitrust suit. Their business strategy is also not a case for anti-trust.

So beside Trump whining about the way their equation for search works, what is the case for anti-trust suit?

Do we really have to do this again?

Quote:
Following Alcoa and American Tobacco, courts typically have required a dominant market share before inferring the existence of monopoly power. The Fifth Circuit observed that "monopolization is rarely found when the defendant's share of the relevant market is below 70%."(22) Similarly, the Tenth Circuit noted that to establish "monopoly power, lower courts generally require a minimum market share of between 70% and 80%."(23) Likewise, the Third Circuit stated that "a share significantly larger than 55% has been required to establish prima facie market power"(24) and held that a market share between seventy-five percent and eighty percent of sales is "more than adequate to establish a prima facie case of power."
