6 more days until the start of the draft! Maybe I missed it, but are we going to do a free agent thing or just keep it simple and stick to the draft itself?

*Definitely* doing the FA round as it's a key element to winning the draft game and accumulating points. Some of us are debating whether to keep it the same as last year, or try and improve it. I'm obviously in favor of tweaking it slightly to improve it. That discussion is here:

http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=114756

As you can see reading through that though, if you're one of the owners not overly interested in Free Agency (sounds like you're not), you can just pick a handful of the big names remaining and blow your budget on them while calling it a day and still have a shot at huge points.

If you've missed the scoring rules for this year, that can be found at this thread:

Ok, so now I do not need to draft a MLB nor race to draft a DL for Indy.

Browns are doing a fabulous job of making my plans harder. Good thing I got lots of picks. Oh wait, sign away Lavelle Hawkins so I lose a pick. This draft will be measured against what those turd suckers really do.

The Raiders screwed up my plans for the Rams with that redicules Saffold deal.

"Lavelle" Hawkins? Is he related to David Burton?

This day is sucking for me picking for the Redskins. I was expecting Snyder's annual let me back up the brinks truck signing and it hasn't happened. Sensible signings and no big names.

As the Chiefs GM with already no 2nd round pick, this is starting to look more and more like a BPA draft strategy for me. Just lost 5 starters to free agency. Fortunately position s of need are strengths in this draft.

Just a reminder folks,

When we start the mock on monday the 17th at noon EST, what ever the draft order is at the time it will be locked in for the remainder of our draft, no matter what other trades happen in the "real" NFL.

DL was a big need for the Falcons. Their DL before FA was Biermann-Robertson-Replogle-Umenyiora. Their first three moves in FA were NT Paul Soliai, DE Tyson Jackson, and resigning Babineaux. That could be the new line in a rumored switch to 3-4. That changes everything. They've solidified their DL either way.
