While I am by no means a DT hater, even this return is probably unrealistic. Older vets with big contracts usually end up fetching something in the 5th round area (see the Talib trade, and Talib was playing at a higher level than DT currently is). Maybe if we send a pick back with him we can do better than that (i.e. DT and a 5th for a 3rd), or maybe a team like Jacksonville gets desperate. But anyone expecting a significant return here is likely to be disappointed. If the front office makes this move, it will be less about the return than it will be the finances and the ability to give Sutton more playing time.

DT with Rodgers would be exciting to watch.

Push the button. Push the button, John!

That would be great for both parties.

Deadline is next Tuesday.

I think it depends what happens this weekend. If by some miracle Denver wins, no trades, if we lose and in embarassing fashion, hopefully Elway ships some guys out for picks.

I think Packers could miss the playoffs, so that could be a top 80 or so pick.

Would be good for both sides if true.

Packers would be a strange fit, they have a bunch of young, talented WRs. I'm not buying it.

Take the selection, there's nothing to mull over.

Sutton is the replacement, there are big cap savings and the production isn't there anymore anyway.

A third is a great return.

Yeah, they have two young ones play now, Adams, and Cobb will once healthy, that would be a weird fit.

Unless there's some money in the exchange somehow. Not sure how they are on cap.

Guess I spoke too soon lol. Take the pick of this if true and let the youngsters get experience and DT go to a contender.

If Iím VJ Iím not liking this.

VJ is on the hot seat, last thing he wants is to get rid of a good target for a future pick that he likely wonít even get to see/use.

VJ needs all he can get in the now to save his job.

I adore DT, but a 3rd round at his age and his salary? They should seriously jump all over this. I'd say no, except for the several years, DT has cost the team with a serious case of the dropsies. They won't get better next year, and they need to get Sutton immediate playing time. So silly if they don't do this.

DT couldn't fetch a 12 pack let alone a pick. A 7th would be a deal.
