Default 2018 Pre-Draft Broncos Salary Cap

Broncos have $6.04M remaining to spend over the next two years in Free Agency. and [COLOR=DarkOrange][B] (if they pick up Shane Ray's option). Oh, and that's if they sign 7 UDFA's off the street next year just to fill out the roster.

Believe me now?

If Broncos were to sign an RT right now, it would likely take all their remaining cap space over the next two years.

OTC is showing different numbers, what's the disconnect?

Edit: You mentioned draft picks. That would be it.

this is why its so hard to stay competitive in the nfl.

2019 offseason is going to be worse, this feels like we wadded up the wagon with duct tape and new paint and are hoping for the best.

Till the wheels fall off.

This draft is the biggest in the franchise modern era...and its not even close.

Get it right and we stay relevant,

Get it wrong and we become the Cleveland Browns....

Just remember, anybody the Broncos sign in the next 2 years will have to be accompanied by an equal sized cut. That includes Paradis, Roby, Ray or anybody else. You want to sign Roby to a long-term contract? You'll have to cut someone of equal value. This roster needs talented draft picks badly.

All the more reason to trade down from 1.5 imo.

The more young talent the better.

We can save 15 mil cutting dt next season. Thats pretty much a no brainer.

edit: maybe not when you consider what some of these chump wrs are getting now. i guess it depends on how keenum looks. if we have ourselves a qb i could see him staying, maybe even extending.

Price you only count about 1/2 the draft pool allocation towards the cap because for every player signed you deduct $550k because we'll only roster 53 players and we currently have 67 under contract.

We'll have about $18m in free money after the draft dependent on any signings before that.

Me too, hopefully he's backing up our long term solution at QB, but if not I think we're in good hands...for 2 years at least.

Meh.

Cap is continually going up, and guys like Watson, CJ, Wolfe, and Sanders are possible cap casualities next year if Denver can nab their relacements.

Shouldnt be hard to replace Watson. This is a great RB draft. Walker/Harris/maybe a draft pick replace Wolfe, as well as Gotsis if he isnt cut. WR class is ok, but it's easier on the cap to cut Sanders next year than now.

That would save about 30 million or so.

Denver need a good draft, and get back to finding hidden quality on other teams Practice Squads.

Of the 54 players that Elway has drafted since 2011, 2 of them have made the pro bowl with the Broncos. Malik made it last year with the Jags. Elway needs to step up his game.

Have you seen what free agent wrs are getting these days? Unless another wr on our team emerges, or we draft a guy who turns into a stud, wearent cutting Sanders at his salary. Hes a very good receiver, we just havent had good qb play lately. After this season, i think we will be more grateful for what we have now that a real qb is distributing the rock.
