Default SCOTUS about to rule on important cases.

http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/n...cases-20180610

The session is winding down and some big decisions are about to be made.

WASHINGTON ó The Supreme Court is moving toward the end of its nine-month term with some of its biggest cases still to be decided, led by the fight over President Donald Trumpís travel ban. The justices also will rule on gerrymandering, union fees, internet sales taxes, credit card fees and cellphone privacy.

The term could end with even bigger news if a justice announces retirement plans.

People are about to see just huge it was when Obama got punked out of his SCOTUS appointment and instead Trump put Gorusch on the SCOTUS.

Crowing over a complete violation of the norms of America tradition and values. Your team wins by ****ting on America!

It's certainly not good for this country. You're right about Obama, though. Gutless. After six months, TR would have told McConnell to go **** himself and had military troops march his choice into the SCOTUS and sat him down.

"Team" is right.

Trumpeteers are incapable of understanding politics in terms more complex than those of a sports rivalry.

I guess you are too upset to talk about the rulings and which way they will go?

You are right about Obama being very weak though. He showed weakness to Iran, gave them billions of dollars, and they repaid him by fomenting the wars in Syria and Yemen.

Obama showed weakness to the whole Muslim world and they laughed at it. It's a lot like when Kennedy showed weakness to Soviets and it resulted in them putting nukes in Cuba.

I think it's safe to say liberals still a bit upset Repubs managed to screw Obama out of his SOCTUS pick. Maybe if the midterms go really well the tears will cease long enough to hear what they are saying through all the crying and blubbering.

"The decision approves Ohioís race-based assault on the right to vote. Secretary of State Jon Husted has been stripping citizens who donít vote in consecutive federal elections. His office mailed some 1.5 million queries to registered voters. He got back fewer than 300,000 responses Ė and then stripped some 1.2 million voters from the computer files."

To low-IQ Trumpeteers and authoritarian followers like cut one/retro, the power of the executive is absolute, i.e., confers the right to disregard or eliminate all checks and balances and to wipe one's ass with the Constitution.

Don't pretend you support the US Constitution...please.

You support a one-party dictatorship. It's OK for you to admit it since we already know it.

As your white nationalist party alt-right party continues trying to move us closer to the fascist state you desire, keep in mind that eventually...down the road...a few short years from now, no matter what you do...these same people you despise so much...they're going to be in charge of your future.

I wonder if they'll take kindly to the way you people have acted towards them? As the shoes moves to the other foot...I wonder if they'll remember how you tried to destroy their futures?

I'm betting they might...since it's human nature.

Trump calls the only constitutionally protected entity in America, the Press, "America's biggest enemy," again. http://money.cnn.com/2018/06/13/medi...dia/index.html

Impeachment would be a good idea at this point. If you can't see this country heading down the road to fascism, you're not looking very closely.

2007: Democrat vows to block Bush Supreme Court nominee

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...ocrats-never-/

Quote:
Since the 1960s, the Senate has held a hearing for nearly every Supreme Court nominee, the exception being Harriet Miers, a 2005 George W. Bush nominee who faced opposition from Democrats and Republicans alike.

So when McConnell vowed, within hours of Justice Antonin Scaliaís death, not to even consider the yet-to-be-named replacement, it was an unprecedented degree of opposition. And, no, thereís no tradition of not nominating a justice during a presidential election year.

Does Beaver really not understand the difference, or is he just being his usual intellectually dishonest self?
