I know the fighter cover got better as the war progressed, but damn!

Pretty crazy stuff.

Weird WW2 story. So Iím jewish, and my grandfather was in the war. Part of the army who helped occupy Berlin at the end. He came back with this enormous nazi flag, probably hung from a building. A few years later, my grandmother made my motherís (and her sisters) cowgirl Halloween costumes from the red part. Never got the full story but maybe they wanted to turn something negative into a positive
