Predominantlyorange seems to really want it to happen but I haven’t seen any indication that the Broncos have shown interest. I’d prefer they just roll with Keenum and Swag.

Looked great on that last TD drive. I’d give up Shane Ray for him.

He is a very conservative QB. He would be a good back up QB that could win you some games. Something Denver probably does not have right now.

I'd do it for the right price, and I don't mean a lot. The Jets don't have much leverage, they can either get something for him, or let him eat a roster spot and get nothing for him at the end of the year.

My only concern with bringing him in would be that Elway decides to cut Kelly instead of Lynch to make room for Bridgewater.

That would suck.

he does look like he deserves a shot at a starting job again. Hard to imagine there are 30 better qbs than him in the league.

Give them a 6th that can go as high as a 4th.

It makes zero sense for the Broncos to bring in TB. He’s not a backup. The Broncos ha e put their $ in Keenum, and if he goes down they need to give Kelly a chance to shine. Bringing in a vet QB who has no intention on being a backup not going to happen because I don’t think Bridgewater will want to play for the Broncos

If they wanted him, why didn't they sign him in FA? That would be yet another sign of FO incompetence.

Agree. Like I said in my previous post, if they wanted him they should have gone after him in FA.

This backup QB spot is dumb, in all likelyhood if Keenum goes down, season would be down the drain anyway.

Just see what Kelly can do in said scenario and if he shows anything cool, if he's over his head, look for a QB in 2019 draft.

Exactly.

Panicking now in August makes them look Incompetent.

Make this move in the springtime.

Signing a vet QB to take Lynch's spot is not panicking, it is practical.

seems like that ship has sailed. i do wish we would see more definitive answers from the broncos. make the decision if kelly is a real player and give him reps. move paxton. i guess we will in a couple weeks. but goddamn if they dont seem unsure of thier franchise direction since the super bowl.

His contract's pretty unpalatable for a backup on this roster.

Think about it.

No one else wanted him, he went to a team that drafted a QB in the 1st round and he is now a backup over a rook.

I am fine with moving Shane Ray for TB and a pick. We need QB depth even if for a year or 2. TB was looking good until his knee exploded. Case could miss a couple games and TB could come in and run the O.

Last year we had 3 QB's start. It happens, it could happen again. The thing that would suck about trading for TB is that it means we keep 3 QB's.

He makes the team better by upgrading the depth I would be fine with it.

Plus it gives Holland a chance to make the team. Lots of guys around here who are pumping Holland up.

For good reason, we're probably not gonna re-sign Shaq or Ray, so Holland is cheap depth to replace them.

If Kelly had a year of practices as the 3rd string guy I would be fine going into this year with only 2 QB's.

The real problem is that John didn't cut Buston at the end of last year and go out and find a Vet to bring into camp.

You can tell they like Kelly because this is the 1st year in a long time they didn't draft a QB in the late rounds or bring in a UDFA.

It is more about having a guy with experience to run the team for 2 or 3 games if needed THIS YEAR.

Kelly continues playing the way he has and they can go 2 QB's next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Kelly pushed Keenum too.

Right so trade Ray for a position of need, they might be able to get a draft pick too.

I hope they can find a way to keep Barrett cheaply. They need to keep Holland, can't have him getting signed away if you aren't going to pay the other 2 guys.

It is so stupid of John to get stuck in the middle of TC trying to sort out the depth of the most important position on the team. How hard was it for him to see how bad Lynch was and is?

Meh season is lost if Keenum goes down anyway, dont think backup QB is as big of a deal as everyone says.

See what Kelly can do if thats what happens.

Bridgewater is not practical.

Paying 6M for a back up is not practical for the teams cap space.
