He was great. Watch a bit of it at Bruce's Bar in Severance CO. I like a call it like it is guy not a p***Y like VJ. VJ acted and called games like he was afraid to make mistakes instead of making decisions and living with the results.

Time will only tell. Gamedays and sideline presence will say a lot. Maybe I am just scarred by the last 2 years watching a buffoon fidget with his headset and constantly be reacting to 3 plays prior rather than proactively moving onto the next 2-3 plays ahead.

WADE is probably a better sound bite, but I am hoping for some nasty to come from his mouth and an intolerance to LAZY and living on past laurels.

What, can he run a 40? Will he look at your stats to see that running 30 times is the key to a win?

Looks like we got an adult in the room. He handled all the questions & I doubt we will see players coasting anymore. Harris & Von & Chub should be thrilled. And I get the feeling he will stand up to Elway etc. I love a guy who has a ton of years & the moment isn't too big for him. Time will tell if it translates to the field, but he reminds me of Wade.

Dump that clown. Let him walk and go get Callahan. Use Harris at #2 and let Yiadom develop. Heís almost there, and in Fangioís defense he a perfect 1. And do everything possible to get Mosley out of BALT. All they would need now is another DT and this s a deep class for them. I know, itís gonna be tough.

No more "good week of practice," "we need to play better," bull****. I'm stoked.

Interesting Bears URA on the defensive side of the ball.

Safety Adrian Amos. Had back to back solid seasons, and had a top 10 coverage grade.
Nickel Corner Bryce Callahan. Had a bad injury but was a top 10 graded nickel corner, before the injury.

The DC perhaps to look out for is Ed Donatell

https://www.chicagobears.com/team/coaches/ed-donatell

All I do know is the presser was pretty impressive. If it was not awkward IN THE BEGINNING and I saw some slick speaker in the beginning, it would not have been a good sign imo.

He is a football coach. No frills. Had to borrow the tie, and I am willing to bet he breaks out that jacket a few times a decade, mainly for funerals.

The guy is a football coach. A defensive mentality.

Looking forward to what we will be seeing, and this is what was needed. Not trying to find another "Sean Mcvay."

The last two "young up and comers," were unreal disasters here. Mcd and VJ.

Love the hire out of the available candidates. He is a coach, not a professional public speaker and I loved his answers. By all accounts he is a genuine guy that loves his players and guys play hard for him. I dig the fundamental approach because you cannot be consistent if you make basic errors as we have seen here.

My only issue is with the offense and Kubes. I know I am beating a dead horse but I need to see who we hire and what we implement. I have no issue with zone blocking and outside zone specifically but i do take issue with terrible o-line evaluations and an inability to prioritize the position. Plenty of stud first and second day players can play zone schemes, no need to grab weak projects and start them because you think you're the smartest guy in the room. Prioritizing Qb and O-line will go a long way to a building a successful team.

I'd say the OL not getting the draft and FA attention it should predated Kubes his last time in. And it's certainly not like he was given much draft capital to significantly improve things in the 2 seasons he managed.

I think teams ultimately become reflections of their head coaches. 53 mini Fangios is not a bad way to be.

I think it's a good fit. When you don't have a top 10 QB then you have to get the rest of the team to play execution football and Fangio is a guy who's going to bring that on board.

Ultimately though, it still all rests on getting a major upgrade at the QB position. You can pencil in the Chiefs/Chargers for 11-12 wins next year so the only way Denver really gets better in terms of wins is if we get a lot more production from the QB.
