I expect the Chiefs to win but a loss this weekend would be the greatest thing to happen to me in years. God owes me

Whatís interesting is 90% of the OPís posts are about the Chiefs. Pretty weird for a so called Broncos fan to not really discuss the Broncos here and be obsessed with the Chiefs so much.

Amazing to hear Chef fans talk about QBs and then totally discount the great Andy Luck. Heís going to absolutely shred you guys and your 31st-ranked efense. We get it, you think Mahomes is football Jesus. Just realize that heís saddled with the same playoffs anchor that Alex Smith was in Andy Reid. The curse of Arrowhead is strike two, and Luck is strike three. Heís already beaten KC in the playoffs before, and heís going to do it again on Saturday. Itís cool that youíre excited about Mahomes, just donít forget to come back here on Saturday night to take your medicine after Andy blows it yet again.

I don’t like this thread because #jinx.

I will say; I’m not betting against Andrew Luck. Dude is back and he’s a beast.

At the start of their game against the Pats I watched Mahomes look across the field at TB12 and saw a look in his eyes that said "s**t, that guy has 5 SB rings!" In other words the kid was intimidated from the get go.

While I don't see a repeat of that emotion this time I DO think he'll be intimidated by the win or go home nature of the NFL playoffs. And I think Luck will carve up their secondary. Throw in some Andy Reid deer-in-headlights play calling and you have the perfect recipe for another KC playoff home loss.

Iíd say all the Chef fans confidently predicting a beatdown of Indianapolis followed by multiple Super Bowl titles beginning with this year is a much bigger jinx. They should know better than to tempt fate like that with the Chefs having such a checkered playoff past!

I donít see it this year. This is Mahomes first year as a starter and his defense needs a ton of work.

This reminds me of Denver in 2012 when Luck came into town and made you one-and-done. I worry about the Chiefs run defense and also how well they will run without Kareem Hunt. We are getting Sammy Watkins back though which changes everything on the offensive side of the ball.

If the Chiefs win this weekend, I think they can win the Super Bowl because Luck and Mahomes are the best QBís in this tournament. I donít think there is another team we can face that would have a better QB than Luck.

I also think the Cowboys and Chargers are going home this weekend, which means the remaining 4 teams wouldnít have a top 10 defense.

Oh yeah. I think they've got their season years mixed up a bit.

If they go 7, they might seriously have to look into bulldozing that ****hole and moving to Kansas.

Excellent point. Ware and Damien Williams are pretty good, but neither of them have the same violent style that Kareem Hunt did.

There's a formula that historically loses in the playoffs. Light up the scoreboard offense that has a mediocre to bad defense. Those teams always lose, and we saw it first hand with the 2013 Broncos. Think back to when the Chiefs had Priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez, and Trent Green. They were scoring points like crazy and got beat at home when they were the No. 1 seed. They were one and done.

None of the top 10 scoring offenses of all time won the Super Bowl and half of them didn't even make it. This Chiefs team is the third high scoring offense of all time. Defensively they're 24th in points allowed, 31st in total yards and passing yards, and 27th in rushing yards. That is not a Super Bowl team.

Drew Brees (y'know, the guy who recently broke passing records that previously belonged to Brett Favre and Peyton Manning) says Hi.

Said all week KC would win pretty easily. Not sure why everyone here thought differently.

I think the Chargers/Pats provide a much more difficult challenge but KC is tough at Arrowhead.
