What's behind Chiefs coach Andy Reid's struggles in the playoffs?

Seahawks showed that if you give mmHomesues lots of looks and get some pressure he gets confused and makes mistakes that start with bad footwork.

If the Colts can force a couple punts and they pound that weak chef D they have a chance, if they fall behind it could get ugly, but the Colts fell behind before and won walking away.

Will be interesting to see if reek gets the same jitters he had in the playoffs last year or if he has grown at handling the stress of the playoffs.

Pressure makes all QB's equally bad. Colts need to confuse then pressure to win. They also need a healthy Hilton.

Will be interesting to see if the chefs keep Jones away from Nelson in the trench, Houston is just a dude and Ford feasts on mistakes or one on one mistakes or coverage sacks, not sure he is going to get those this weekend. Isn't Luck the least sacked QB this year?

Yeah, he only threw for 273 yards, 3 touchdwons and put up 30+ points on offense.

KC hasn't been healthy in a long time. Looks like pretty much everyone is back practicing

A lot of people are going to eat crow this weekend.

A big reason KC has so many playoff losses was that we had built teams that kept on dragging absolutely horrible quarterbacks into playoff games. Perhaps a good bounce here or there you win one or two of these with the garbage QB. Even if you do, NONE of those KC teams was ever going to win jack ****. We never had anywhere close to the kind of QB play required.

You put Pat Mahomes on ANY of those Chiefs teams and we arenít talking about decades of fails.

We arenít losing this Saturday.

The list of QBs the Colts have played since this winning streak started in week 7:

Derek Anderson
Derek Carr
Blake Bortles
Blaine Gabbert (x2)
Ryan Tannehill
Cody Kessler
Deshaun Watson (x2)
Dak Prescott
Eli Manning

Denver could have drug Case Keesum to the playoffs if youíd had this schedule. Colts are a paper Tiger.
Nah you're in trouble here. No Kareem Hunt and the KC defense sucks. This will be a dogfight.

It has the potential to absolutely be another classic Chiefs playoff tragedy.

This could be an even bigger disaster than that time when Bob almost choked on a Hostess Coconut Snowball and an ambulance had to be called.

You are in grave danger.

Lots of teams have won playoff games, gone to the Super Bowl, and even won the Super Bowl, without great QB's.

I think he'll be fine. It's the other side of the ball they need to be worried about.

And Dan Marino never won one. Chiefs fans don't get this stuff though.

The point remains. Until he proves he can do it in the playoffs, it's a total unknown.

Elite quarterbacks more often than not win Superbowls

It's going to be even more apparent in this era

What would be a satisfactory result for Mahomes at 23 years of age in the playoffs?

You assess a QB as a playoff performer over the length of their career. Time will tell.

There's so much gold in that ESPN article!

Quote:
They twice collapsed in spectacular fashion, blowing a 38-10 third-quarter lead to Indianapolis in January 2014 and a 21-3 third-quarter lead against Tennessee last season.
Quote:
Two years ago against the Steelers, the Chiefs didn't allow a touchdown but lost after Pittsburgh kicked six field goals.
Quote:
Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck scored a touchdown in that 2014 game after a teammate fumbled. The ball took a perfect bounce into Luck's hands.
Quote:
Last season, Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota had a pass batted right back to him by a Chiefs defender. Mariota caught it and ran the ball to the end zone for a touchdown.

Well I didn't pick cause I don't care bunches. =)

But if I had to pick, homefield for Chefs will overcome any mistakes Patrick makes, so I think they win by like.. I dunno 8 points or so.
