This...remember this post when we reach for a QB in April or have to sell the farm to move up.

Also, not sure how accurate those numbers are. Just looking at Andrew Luck's Stanford stats, he had 1064 passing attempts and and 163 rushing attempts alone. Just that is over 1200 snaps anand I'm sure he was on the field for plenty of rushing plays.

It appears he isn't counting snaps where they handed the ball off, because otherwise Oklahoma never ran a rushing play while Mayfield was there. Mortensen is kind of a dumbass.

Bottom gif is example of typical rocket arm, can make any throw mentality.

He has mentioned a few times that he left a lot of installations from when Heupel was there because Lock was familiar with them. Added that he took things he learned with the Cowboys and tried to be more traditional with a pro-style there because Lock wanted to expand his game. Seems like a creative person who was willing to try out new things. Said he is always looking at tape to be as creative as possible and learn whatever he can and implement what's working elsewhere because he had never been an OC before.

Lawrence is so good the Colts have already started to manipulate their tank job so they can get that first pick...

My take on Dwayne Haskins:

I'm an Ohio State fan and have watched every snap.

The dude is 6'3" 220. He has an absolute cannon for an arm but he can also deliver the ball with outstanding touch. He can literally make every single throw on the field. He shattered every B10 passing record in history and lead the NCAA in passing yards and TD's....with 50.

He does not at all have blazing speed, but is athletic. He can slide around the pocket and evade rushers and even pickup a first down with his feet every now and again.

The only real down side is that he is very green. He's only started a season's worth of games and those games he didn't take any snaps under center. I don't believe taking snaps under center is a big deal as most NFL teams run some version of the spread some of the time anyway.

He is the #1 QB is the draft. Denver should move up to get him and be done with it. They should also pair him with a YOUND OC/QB coach that can groom him. Denvers offense is absolutely terrible and needs new life.

He torched UM's #1 defense and UW's outstanding defense as well. GO GET HIM Elway!

I'm not sure Elway will look his direction because if the games he's played in he didn't take any snaps from center , i doubt Elway would want him then because he's always stating that he wants a pocket passer, that games are won from the pocket.

id want him though but not sure Elway does but time will tell

Err...where did you get the idea that a QB has to take snaps from under center to be a pocket passer? Also, at this point, all there are in college are QB's who play from the shotgun.

Gotta take snaps under center in the Kubiak system! Run game can't work unless you do.

lol i stand corrected, in my head when i think pocket passer i'm automatically visioning a qb taking it from under center and dropping back a few steps or so, but yes your technically correct that you can be in the shot gun and still be in the pocket.
