Seattle could have played any scheme with the players they had.

Can you point to specific instances of this? I can't recall a single time I've ever seen a 4-3 or 5-2 from Wade. I have seen 3-4 sets with both outsider backers on the LOS in a way that would look similar to either a 4-3 under or 5-2, but those backers were always in two point stances.

Directly from the article about Wade Phillips’ Defense:

“Call it 4-3 under, 5-2, 3-4, the "look" of the defense on base downs will not change drastically, nor will the role of the players.”

Wade uses a base 3-4 but also employs other looks to confuse QBs. If you don’t believe me, watch the Rams Defense, tomorrow. I guarantee you will see 3, 4, and 5 man fronts.

That is all well and good, but I asked about actual examples of Wade employing those defenses. I have been watching Wade's defenses for years now and have never seen what you claimed to have seen, hence why I asked as it is possible I may have been mistaken.

An article about his defense written by someone of undetermined expertise themselves does nothing to address my question.

Like DenverDUI55 stated, that is a nickel formation. It's also a two man front. The 2-4-5 has been a popular nickel set for many years now.
