Damn, Matt Dudek left Arizona for Michigan. I'm semi torn, the Michigan fan in me is happy as **** and hopes to see him throwing up the O(ur)K(ind)ofG(uy) and On to the next one for Michigan but it makes me sad that he left Arizona.

Still, Singletary did the same thing in reverse last year so I cannot be shocked.

Yes, he is the best position coach on the staff and not surprisingly the DL is Miami's best and most talented unit.

The DL is going to wreak major havoc this year with Joe Jackson and Chad Thomas at the ends and Norton and McIntosh inside. Demetrius Jackson will also get a lot of sacks in a rotation role.

Coach Kul deserves a lot of credit for transforming these guys into savages.

It's a far cry from the days of FAG and Dorito who fattened our linemen up and had them playing patty cake with the offensive lineman. I hate 3-4 two gap ******ry. A defensive lineman is supposed to attack and penetrate, not play patty cake with another man. If they want to do that then get out of football, come out and then get into gay porn, but don't pretend that it's football. It's not. Its an affront to football. It's ******ry and I hated that style of play.

A return to our traditional 4-3 Over, the same defense which we made famous in the 80s and early 90s, has been electrifying.

Scribe, do your teams have some kind of incestuous relationship going with guys going from one to another?

On second thought ........given the sheer voluminous number of teams you have the mathematical odds are that this would happen at some point anyway.

I remember when they had Moss and Wayne together, that was fun to watch. Always hated Ken Dorsey though, don't remember why.

Watching DJ Williams play in college was something special. I thought he was going to be the best LB to come out of the U when he came out for the draft.

Carroll with USC is the only thing that comes close to that same feeling.

I saw DJ talking in one of those shows about Miami, and he said he was afraid to walk through the locker room by himself as a Freshman. The names he mentioned specifically were Benny Blades and Webster - I forget Webster's first name but he was the guy who's helmet was always coming off when he was a Bronco.

I'm thirsty as **** to start winning again.

The 2017 Canes have alot of talent in the front 7 in particular, including what might be the nation's best DL and an excellent LB corps. The secondary has more questions, as Miami is relying on grad and JUCO transfers to hold down the fort at corner along with promising sophomore Malek Young.

The offense returns many talented playmakers at the skill positions including standouts Mark Walton and Ahmmon Richards. Miami is excited about freshman WRs Jeff Thomas and Mike Harley as well as all purpose threat DJ Dallas. There's an open race to replace Brad Kaaya at QB expected to be won by true freshman dual threat N'Kosi Perry. Perry is gifted and is a good fit for Miami's RPO but starting a true freshman in the ACC at QB means there will be growing pains. The offensive line remains a question mark but Nevaughn Donaldson should be a big boost.

This is a very talented team on paper but with a staff that needs to start winning big games not just recruiting battles.

We're only a couple weeks from camp.

I'm getting hard, Scribe. Let's Go Canes!

Just know that whatever happens your Miami football dreams all end on Nov 4th.

You means the years they were cheating, or the years they were planning on cheating, or the years they got caught? That covers their entire history. Hahaha

This level of silliness makes me a half-assed Miami fan.

I nearly forgot - hahaha

When discussing the best eras of recent college football, how can you not mention Alabama?

"During the nine years Saban has served as head football coach, Alabama has compiled an overall official record of 101[a]18 (.849) (10618 on the field), seven bowl game appearances with five victories, a share of five SEC Western Division titles, four SEC championships, and four national championships. Since 2008, Saban's teams have spent all or part of each season ranked number 1 in national polls."

I mean, all great teams need an identity, Miami's is if you're not cheating you're not trying.

I would be surprised if any other championship team had nearly as many local players as Miami. USC would likely be 2nd. Some godawful location like michigan probably has to pay twice as much to get players.

It always makes me laugh when a supporter of one big program acccuses another big program of cheating. And by big program I mean every single BCS team.

No one is legitimately that naive.

Canes camp started today. Local reporters seem impressed with skill level and depth.

Brother Scribe has promised that we will be really good this year.....I've heard this before tho...
