Philadelphia's home-field advantage matters more than you might realize. The past eight NFC/AFC title games have all been won by the home team. Just as important: Consider that the Vikings have won only three road playoff games in the 35 years since they moved into an indoor home stadium in 1982. Every team is different, of course, but a clear trend over that long of a timeframe -- three victories in 15 total road playoff games -- is revealing. This season, two of the Vikingsí three losses came on the road on grass outdoor fields. The grass at Lincoln Financial Field was noticeably slippery in the Eagles' divisional-round matchup with the Falcons. These are not trivial matters. Read more on the Eagles from Tim McManus.

I hope it's Jags, and the jags are going to win, and Minnesota.

Interesting note...the AFC team is the home team for this Super Bowl...so that means if Minnesota makes it then the AFC could kick them out of their locker room to the visiting locker room and make Minny wear their away Jersey's.

I had heard that the Vikings have gotten permission that if they make it to the Super Bowl they will be able to keep their locker room.

As much as I want to see the Patriots lose, I don't see the Jags doing it. Their defense is very good, but after giving up 42 points to the Steelers, they aren't special. Not special enough to knock off the Patriots.

True. however the Steelers are a much better team on the Offensive Line and have the best RB in football. They also have a QB that has proven to be able to take a pass rushing beating and still perform.

Pats OL is 1/2 as good as Pitts (3 probowlers, 1 all pro IIRC) and they will be able to spare personnel only having to game plan for Gronk and not Bell and Brown.

I think the Jags will do very well up there. they might not win but it will be a game for 60 minutes.

The Patriots don't have Brown, and Brady can't do big deep passes like Big Ben. I really think that if Gronk can be neutralized the Jax corners will be able to shutdown the rest of NE receivers.

That sounds pretty good. Shutdown Gronk and Brady canít throw a deep ball. Hmm.

I wouldnt say he cant but does NE have anyone like Brown or Bryant who can break the coverage deep.

Cooks is good but he can be shutdown if you're physical him at the LOS which the Jags have the CB's for.

Nope. The NFL can't do that because the rules state the home team gets the pick. Now the AFC team could allow it, but it is up to the AFC Team.

Jags would be wise to debug their hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and locker room. Maybe they should leave an iPad with phony plays out, too.
