Im fine with getting rid of Trevor, 6th round pick/7th round pick, expiring contract for a position of need. Get him out.

Lot of teams need QB's, throw a late round pick so if he got cut, you wouldnt have to sign him for more than he'd cost now. 1.9 mil is a fairly cheap salary for a backup QB.

Pfft, I'd trade Brent, Agamemnon with Trevor to Philly for their 7th

He was scouted in the first 4 games of 2016, like I said last offseason. Much better to get a draft pick for him, than to just let him walk at the end of the year. The guy has stolen enough snaps.

Per OTC.

If Lynch is cut- negative 4.4 mil
If he's cut- 2.5 mil cap hit
If he's traded- 2.5 mil cap hit

Wait, so if he's traded, it's the same as keeping him on the roster?

WTF are they keeping him on the roster then?

I thought trades cause original team to incur all dead money. That's the reason 49ers didn't want to let go of Kaepernick. Regardless, it's just pain foolish to suggest anyone would trade for that contact. Just dumb.

2.5 mil cap hit in dead money if he's traded. He's probably sticking on the roster due to his contract.

Ok one thing.... Kirk is not going to sign for anything less than 25 mill, even if all the contract is guaranteed. Freaking Jimmy G is getting what...27 mil? The football players and QBs will (NFLPA) and his Agent wont let that happen. Kirk will get at a minimum, 28 mil. Mark my words. Everyone who is saying that he will sign a team friendly contract should pass the joint around so we can all have some fun laughing.

Broncos could still affords Cousins at $28M, with a DT restructure.

Can we give someone a 5th round pick to take him off our hands?

With Rogers getting injured more often, if I was GB, I’d offer 6th or maybe 5th for Siemian.

The real cash is about 1.27 mil, cutting him or releasing him takes up 4.45 mil in space they could utilize to elsewhere vs keeping him at 2.58 and having 1.87 or so that could be used for other areas of the team and not costing them their projected back up QB.

Damn, I keep thinking of his base salary as part of the guarantee when thinking of a trade.
That only counts if he's cut. My bad.

I have no idea why he never got surgery to pin those bad boys back. I had big ears growing up (Thanks to my Great Grandfather) but luckily my head grew into those wings. I also knew a kid that actually had his pinned back with surgery. This guy is on tv not radio.

Albert Breer's SI column:

Quote:
4. So does Trevor Siemian actually have trade value? He should have a little. At $1.9 million, he’s exceedingly cheap in this era for a backup quarterback, and he has 24 starts under his belt. Plus, he has experience in the Shanahan iteration of the West Coast offense, which is popping up all over the NFL.
