Default Winter Olympics

There are a few cool things about the winter olympics.

Ice dancing, for example, takes my breath away. They're dancing! And it's on the ice! They're dancing on the ice!

Hockey is cool, to see all the NHL players take so much pride in their countries. Oh, wait!

So, the winter olympics kind of suck. It's still the olympics. Growing up, I counted down the days to either of the olympic games.

We can, like, use this thread to talk about them. And during the day, we can move the furniture and do activities!

Last night, I just happened to stumble upon the game where one person rolls the big puck and the other person makes sure the ice doesn't have any dust on it. It was the US and the Olympic Individuals from the Disgraced Cheating Land of Russia (OIDCLR). It was mixed teams, which is apparently BRAND NEW! And I watched it for almost an hour, because the OIDCLR woman was sort of a babe.

I like to watch the alpine and freestyle skiing and to a lesser degree the speed skating. The most exciting event this time around could be the N Korean military escalation.

Colorado's own Mikaela Shiffrin is pretty cute. And Chloe Kim will be a big story because of her Korean heritage/

Cute, sure. On top of that she might possibly the baddest skier ever born and winning to an extent and margin never seen in skiing let alone any other individual sport. Watching Shiffrin ski is amazing and everyone should enjoy it while we can.

Mmmmm Russian or soviet block ladies can be very yummy.

I’ll watch skiing and boarding events and that is about it. Jamaican bobsled team as well!

Downhill and GS are both pretty cool, but I’ll be watching the wet t shirt contest live. Cool new exhibition event.

Whatever. If you want to objectify them.

Because I watched an hour of the game where they push the giant puck down the ice and try to have the cleanest, most dust-free path for it - solely for the competition of it all!

Yay, sports!

I am not objectifying them.

I'm just saying I'm amazed none of them have knobby knees or pointy elbows. 14/14 would smash. That's unprecedented.

now that's a stache on top lefty

the best part of bobsledding is the inevitable story about the back dude in the 4 man team who was some guy who spent his entire life trying to be the best at some other sport, failed, and then the one dude in america who is a bobsled scout saw how big he was and was like "**** it, I bet I could teach this hulk how to shove a sled for 20 feet and then hop in the back"

Guaranteed pre-recorded segment explaining the story, shown right before the event.
