Stop. Derailing. This. Thread.

This thread is titled "Around the NFL" -- Not "Manning vs. Brady: Which is the "GOAT?"

Do not want to see Brady's name brought up again in this thread unless there is NFL news about him. And that's a moderator directive.

#Patriots will be out on DT Nick Fairley, an indication he's expected to sign with #Saints. Should be a huge addition to their defense.

ESPNís Jeff Legwold dropped this nugget on Monday:
Linebacker Brandon Marshall, who got a one-year tender as a restricted free agent, has told teammates he may skip the teamís offseason workouts as he looks for a long-term deal.
Denver placed a second-round tender on Marshall earlier this offseason. The tender will pay Marshall $2,553,000 in 2016. According to Spotrac.com, thatís more than Marshall has earned during his first four seasons in the NFL ($2,214,794).
But after two Pro Bowl-worthy seasons (he was an alter

I didn't say it was the same..I said that when you throw in Manning's 3-0 AFCCG record over that stretch, he got the better of him from 2005 on. I'm not sure how you can dismiss that the last stretch of their careers played out differently than the first stretch. Yes, Brady, got the better of Manning overall. But not in the last decade of their careers, which represents a substantial sample.

I'd offer to extend Marshall in November, just like they tried with Wolfe and Malik. Offer him the same contract Trev got in Chicago.

I'd consider Trevathan's contract as a starting point but I think Marshall deserves a bigger contract.

I am surprised another team signed him after his season last year with the Broncos. Goes to show you how much of a dearth there is at TE in the league.

Bears to sign Omar Bolden

Another Bronco is poised to become a Bear.

The Bears are signing safety Omar Bolden, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports. Itís a one-year, $760,000 deal.

Bolden has played his entire four-year career with the Broncos. The move reunites Bolden with former Broncos coach John Fox, and would continue a trend of the Bears signing Foxís old Denver players. Other former Broncos who have signed with the Bears this offseason include linebacker Danny Trevathan, offensive lineman Manny Ramirez and long snapper Aaron Brewer.

Bolden will be a key member of the Bearsí special teams and will also provide some depth in the secondary.

Not that we needed him, but how many back up safeties do we even have signed right now... any?

Who cares? He's from New England area, he's always been a New England sports fan isn't he a Celtics and Pats fan?

1 year up to $4.5m is the deal.

I like how all the free agents initially get courted by New England then explore every viable option and probably are willing to take less money elsewhere then as a last resort sign there.
