![]() For those Pixies and Frank Black fans out there, I found some interesting stuff on youtube. Charles is writing songs as "Black Francis" again, and the new tunes sound much more lifelike than his recent incarnations. I'm finally excited for some new FB stuff again. Maybe the Pixies tours got the juices flowing again.
Here's a nice piece: "Dont Get Me Wrong" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oolEWYrK_Oo |

![]() Hogan will love this ... "Chicago Transit Authority." The version with both the original re-mastered mono, and the synthesized stereo version.
Terry Kath is the most underrated guitar player ever. Jimi Hendrix's favorite guitar player - that's all you need to know. |

James William Guercio should be strung up by his tongue for the production job he did on those Chicago releases.....remastering can't even save them from his heavy handed, muddy techniques ![]() |

![]() I just spun McCartney's "all the best".
Every time I listen to Paul, his position as the greatest rock songwriter in history is further cemented. The dude is brilliant. |

![]() Whodat? Wit da Mexican Strat?
I dunno 'bout you LA, but I prefer rosewood (or at least non-maple) fingerboards. Why do you want a fingerboard to be slick? Tommy Bolin ... man, been awhile. Lotta power there. Died in a car wreck? |

![]() That's not a Mexican Strat - it's a custom job by John Suhr. (Costs about the same as 10 Mexican Strats.)
http://www.suhrguitars.com/ And that's L.A. studio kingpin Michael Landau. http://www.mikelandau.com/ Quote:
