Tebow will throw an errant pass and knock it off course.

All of his receivers were not covered. The RB leaked out of the flat and was open from the 26 yard line til the DB picked him up at the 30 since the LB blitzed Tebow.
That's NFL open. You have to make that check down throw.

Tebow is not a QB, I don't know why people continue to expect him to act like one.
He is a fullback who occasionally throws the ball.

for more than 5 years he has worked harder than any human being on the face of the earth to try and improve his QB skills,
you see the results..... fullback, attempting to pass.
He is Dan reeves with half the IQ.
great human being, poor excuse for a QB.
get over it !

His prospects looked good in camp but now after 2 games in preseason, its looking less likely. Subpar performances against scrubs will do that. Needs a really strong showing in game 4 (unlikely to play in game 3).

He's the fourth string QB on their depth chart. What position is he making the team as?

If I was a Philly fan, I'd want DeMarco Murray punching it in.

Have the Eagles used Tebow on a 2 pt conversion yet?

The eagles aren't going to keep a player just for 2 PT conversions. You couldn't use tebow on every 2pt or you'll just be predictable. They're not going to waste a spot on a player that may or may not see the field 1-3 times a game.

You mean how everyone knew he would pull it down and not pass most the time, but still not be able to stop a positive gain?

Chip is ABSOLUTELY the guy to keep Tebow for just 2-point conversions and other trickery. I love it, that he has the balls to do what he wants.

You never know. Those 3 times a game could equal another touchdown- 3- 2pt conversions = 6 pts.

The eagles offense is going to be really really really good this year. I bet they average closer to 4 tds a game....Thats 8 points a game from 1 player. That would justify a roster spot to me. Sure he may not convert all of them, but you never know, maybe he does. TT is about the surest thing there is when in the RZ- we all remember that.

Why would it be predictable. if he's in there on 2pt conversions, there's always 3 options.

At a 50% conversion rate, his impact becomes a wash. I would guess 50-75% would be range of what he could do.

You could be right if every team they face forgets to play run defense.

you cant discount the extra popint option, so TEBOW is ONLY a 3 point or 4 point difference when you consider 3 or 4 TDs.
and I agree a predictable TEBOW is a defensable TEBOW, look how easy it is for defenders to defend against a far nor competent QB who has become predictable, e.g. Manning.
The best thing about Tebow is he no longer wears a bronco uniform !
I look forward to the entertainment aspect if chip keeps him on the team for the dog and pony show.

here's the league-wide QB situation for every team.

http://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchartpos/QB

considering how many bad QBs have backup jobs, Tebow does bring some unique skills to the table as a 3rd string QB who plays in certain situations.

we'll see if he makes it. i hope so. and if he pulls out a miracle win (or two) for the Eagles, it'll be fun to see Boomer Esiason's head explode (even though he's a fellow Terp, he's really really got a hate-on for Tebow so this would amuse me).
