Age? Would you have cut Woodson at talibs current age? Youíd miss out on his best career season at 33.

Talib is a genetic freak. Whereís the signs of slowing down? Does isnít on the team and Langley isnít even close to being a starter and actually got benched. Roby is not a shadow corner or CB1. Heís value is at his current job. Thatís why this defense has been great. Now itís Roby Harris and a hole.

Talibs cap hit over the next 2 years is peanuts. Itís a steal for a top tier CB. If itís for Cousins added thatís one thing, but if cousins donít come thereís plenty of room to keep Talib and add.

I think that GM's take for granted having a QB that elevates the roster and tend to take more questionable draft picks. Not all, but some do.
When you have that sort of band aid to cover the wounds you tend to overlook things.

I just tend to think a lot of bad to mediocre coaches and GMís simply ride their franchise QBís to long-term job security.

Which usually leads to complacency and bad bad draft results.

As expected, we've got some early players folding in this game of poker.

1. Buffalo announced they'll pay Tyrod Taylor's $6M roster bonus. In my view, it is highly unlikely they package both 21 and 22 to trade up to the top 5, after their recent Sammy Watkins fiasco.
2. Jacksonville just signed Blake Bortles to a 3 year extension.

edit: Bills may try to trade into top 5 after all

Updated chart showing 6 teams remain major players to challenge the Denver Broncos for QB's in FA or the draft. Although Dolphins could be a darkhorse.

As I've maintained:

1. Minnesota Vikings remain favorites to land Kirk Cousins.
2. Browns remain favorites to pick Sam Darnold #1.
3. Jets remain favorites to trade up for a QB at #3 as they have two 2nd round picks.
4. Have no clue what Cardinals are going to do, maybe sign Keenum.

Jacksonville was never really in it after Bortles wrist surgery. Don't think they were looking to replace him either way.

I'd be good with Cousins, Darnold, or Mayfield. Would have some serious concerns with Rosen.

Allen? Read what I just posted that Brugler said about him. Brugler reiterated what I've been saying about these QB's all along. No way I'm taking Allen in top 10.

If Arizona wanted our 5th spot to get the QB they want ahead of the Jets we have to make them pay through the arse. I would think it would take a 2nd round pick this yr and next yrs first round pick.

I did, then I read what you posted about Dozen boy, laughed and still preferred Allen.

Someone out of the QB will fall. If Denver wants a project just see who falls into the 2nd round.

Why would we want to drop from #5 to #15?

I think he has the mind of Manning, and definitely scans the field like him as well.

Dane Brugler compares him to Eli Manning.

For the Denver Broncos Football Club, you can count the number of times that they have had the pleasure of picking in the top five on one hand. You would think that they would make as much of that great opportunity as they humanly possibly, since It happens so infrequently and so seldom.

Just my opinion, but I think he thinks of things on a higher level and see things quite a bit better.

Mock drafts are different than scouting opinions. Brugler thinks Elway will be intrigued by Allen. Keep in mind, both Darnold and Rosen are projected to be gone. So Broncos would likely choose between Allen and Mayfield if they miss out on Cousins.

I think:

1. Browns - Darnold
3. Jets - Rosen
4. Bills - Mayfield
