A lot of it depends on who you get on the phone. If it's someone not giving you a deal, call the next day or hour. A couple years ago, I almost settled for the entire package for half price. The next day I got the ticket & HBO for free and $60 off my bill.

I'd ask for retention if someone won't budge.

It specifies right in the article that the only thing you can get on the Vue in all markets is the redzone channel.

Do your research on their competition before calling. It's no different than buying a car, be prepared to say thanks but no thanks and hang up. You also want to be polite and courteous, if you are being demanding and an a-hole, they aren't going to want to work with you.

I got NFL ticket max for free, no fees and a 200 dollar gift card for going with directtv.

Yeah, but that's absolutely nothing resembling Sunday Ticket.

The poster on the previous page was wrong. You can't get Sunday Ticket on Vue without subscribing to it for the same price as everyone else on directv.

If you can handle not watching the game live, I didn't mind game pass on NFL.com. I paid $100 last season, but I got it a little later, might be like $130 at the start for all teams. $100 for just one team. And there is no commercials, just the game and the game is available immediately after it finishes.

For me, I really don't have the time to sit through a 3 1/2 hour broadcast anymore and, not that it's a huge deal, but not having to fast forward the DVR through the commericals was a nice touch for the games that were out of my market.

I mostly already knew that, which was why I asked.

Probably just hoping I'd totally missed the news that the cartel had finally been broken.

Tried that one year and grew frustrated as those streams are not always reliable.

Now I add RedZone to my cable and subscribe to NFL Gamepass. I watch RedZone when Denver's not playing and then wait until the Broncos game is over (if not on local TV) and then throw it on GamePass once the game is complete.

Now, I just suck it up and go to the bar and watch the games. I'm actually enjoying it more, since the bar I go to is full of Broncos fans. Sure, I blow $40 every Sunday on booze and food, but I don't care, it's fun.
So you end up paying $640 a year instead of paying for the ticket?

not retention.
"customer loyalty" is the dept. that is responsible for customer retention.

"Let me speak with your customer loyalty specialist"

this is the sentence that will put you on the path to getting free NFL ticket and a better overall price.

I assume he's talking about doing that for only the Broncos games that aren't on regular tv. Based on recent seasons, we're talking maybe 4 or 5 games.....so $200 or less.

A few beers. Maybe a meal.

I'd do that before I'd sign up for DirecTV plus Sunday Ticket just for Broncos games.

I find this is the best way for me too. Frees up my day to work around the house, and redzone keeps me updated whenever I have a minute to check in. Since Denver almost always plays the afternoon game, I don't really miss out on much live info by having to wait until after the game to watch.

We really liked Andrew Siciliano though. Found out the hard way he's only on the directv version of redzone. The guy on the cable version isn't even close to his level, kind of sucks. Siciliano makes redzone way more entertaining.

I do the same. I'm in the Eastern time zone, so the games are usually the late one. Frees up the day for projects and outdoor activities during the best time of the year. If we lose, I don't bother as it just pisses me off.

Coming from the guy who is always complaining about how he doesn't get the Broncos because he doesn't have the ticket and is forced to watch the Cardinals. You obviously haven't had the ticket in awhile. Direct TV is stingy now with it.

As I stated earlier in this thread I just made the deal with DTV !
I called to cancel, told them I signed up with PRISM and already had it installed (all true )
I told the loyalty rep that I now resented the TICKET because for years I paid for it and now its given to brand new customers for FREE.
I then asked her, "how is that an appreciation of years of loyalty? ":
she game the the sunday ticket PLUS for free without me even asking for it as she attempted to regain my account !

and FWIW, my biggest bone with the NFL is that they do not offer 4 game choices in every market!
two early games
two late games
sunday night football !
If the NFL is genuine about their concern for diminished viewership, then maybe they should STOP restricting every markets opportunity to view all broadcast opportunities !
Its ridiculous, self defeating and a 10 year old should be able to see that when you don't give a fan a chance to view a game, then of course the number of viewers is diminished !
the NFL is retarded, lost in their quest to expand and promote they have FAILED to maximize their greatest access to the public.

It is because you haven't had it for years. I was told last year they will only do every other year. I will find out soon enough when I call and try and get it. Last year was first year I didn't have it.

I wish you the best! make sure you are speaking with a customer LOYALTY rep, otherwise you are wasting your time !
a week earlier I called before the switch to PRISM and mentioned "customer RETENTION" they switched me to a rep who at the end of the day just e mailed me the standard package line ups. I was so outraged I confirmed with cenurylink / PRISM.
this is why I EMPLORE you to use the phrase LOYALTY or you will just get dicked around!
Iam posting all this to help you and others, not to boast !

LOYALTY

"implore"

If you're going to capitalize the entire word, you should probably learn how to spell it.
