Default Newby Tailgater Questions

Hello Fellow Orange Crushers!

So my wife and I are treating out two teen boys to their first NFL game and more importantly, their first BRONCOS game!!! It's been a rough year and we want it to go out on a high note and mile high seemed a great way to do it!

I've looked through several forums and haven't been able to find a definitive answer to my question....

My question is, how does the pre-game tailgate work. Is it kosher to approach friendly looking folks in the parking lot and offer them some $$$ to join in the festivities or is that not acceptable. We want to include our kids in the fun, but don't want to intrude on someones pre-game ritual! Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

We are flying down from Montana and want to pre-plan as much as possible. Thanks again!!!

I'd like to know this too. I'm a Broncos fan in town for the Texans game. Can you just wander up and introduce yourself. Are the odds improved if you bring some imported beer?

Initial advice:

Check out this thread:

Secondary advice: Contact the poster named Rabb on here. He throws a wicked tailgate, that is open to all. Things sometimes get wild, though... so keep that in mind with your kids.

Tertiary advice: Check out the Broncos "official" tailgate options. Mountain Village opens at 11 for 2pm games and does a bunch of specials with the games on. There is a budlight garden arean just on the south side of the stadium with stuff. There is the mini-mile high that is a replica of the old stadium that you can sit in the old seats, watch highlights of old games, get cheap drinks, and a bunch of vendors give away free snacks and cokes and stuff.

Fourth idea: Wander around the M and C lots... many people are very cool.
