Finley is very MEH, NC State is one of the few college teams I watch with any regularity and I wouldn't want Finley as a starter. 3rd rounder at best. He's got that Andy Dalton vibe to me.

david montgomery and hakeem butler are the real deal. Problem is we don't need either position. Both will be starters in the NFL

What about him? The Saints drafted him to be the future (yes I know they also signed Bridgewater) and also love his versatility. Hill isn't going anywhere.

Gonna be a lot of disappointed people when they realize it will be Keenum to at least start week 1 2019.

They arenít bringing in a high named FA, and a draft pick wonít start day 1.

It will be Keenum.

In a scenario where we win some games and let's say hover around .500 or above, this actually increases chances VJ stays for another year barring another super star head coach being available.

Finley's a good prospect and he comes from a pro-style offense. Makes me think of Matt Ryan. His accuracy is particularly appealing. If we take him in the top ten I won't be mad.

Now that the dream is dead with Kelly, I think most of us are realizing this is the grim reality we're dealing with.

Ya itís becoming a reality. Draft position will pretty much mirror last year so QB starved teams will overpay into the top 3, or stay put at the top. Doesnít leave much out there rookie wise that will come in and start day 1.

Not sure how they go for a FA ticket as 10M in dead money would be wrapped into Keenums contract.

Last year the FOs excuse for failing was QB. This year their excuse will be coaching. So IMO theyíll want to tie whatever new HC to Keenum for a year, which limits whoíll actually want to come here.

The bigger limiter of who will want to come here is Elway. Few open head coaching positions come with a franchise QB. That's just the reality of the NFL.

He was an UDFA for Green Bay, and Saints picked him up on waivers... But you are right that he isn't going anywhere. Even if he never becomes the starter, he's the most valuable 3rd QB probably in the history of the NFL.

New coaches love a crappy incumbent QB. They'd rather have a say in getting 'their' guy.

We donít need to be worrying about who the next real starter is. It should be a guy we draft, which means that probably has to wait till 2020. Instead we ought to be focused on putting a young and talented O-line in front of him. As it stands now we have almost no sure bet starters for that who should still be here in 2020. We better figure out how to find some, or any rookie hotshot will be on IR before the season is over. This team is always putting the cart before the horse.

Stafford? Another retread? Guy's been in the league for 10 years and has never been elite. Just draft a QB and hope he pans out.

Yeah...Stafford doesn't excite me either. He's better than Keenum, but still meh.

In fairness.... He is on the Detroit Lions.

Would be a perfect 2019 version of bringing Jake Plummer to Denver.
