Coinmarketcap removed inflated South Korean prices from their calculations earlier causing a hiccup across the board.

Things seem to be bouncing back though.

Yet smart investors aka "traders" bet money on "something happens"? Guess what happens when something happens. You lose your ass.

well its just gaining traction, so governments ban, restrict, alot in the last few months. Its a volatile currency. Which makes for big gains if you trade when certain news hits.

You sound mad you did not invest in BC when it was lower.

And yes. Traders actually do invest around news these days. Sorry to break that to you.

Your dodgecoin article proves that. People are hyped about these currencies so much, they will invest in one that was made as a joke.

No, that's called gambling. It is not the same thing as investing.

No. Not mad. I much prefer real assets. I readily admit I'm old school when it comes to investing. More than one way to skin a cat. I have some crypto to keep my interest in the poker game.

I don't do much day trading per se as my positions are long although I usually have a standing limit buy order to catch flash crashes when I'm not at the computer, but the swings of BTC are crazy.

I missed the first BTC, ETH, LTC boat by a year, so I have taken the alt-coin long game while accumulating in dips.

I think BTC itself will have at least one or two more big pumps though.

One pump due to China supposedly eliminating the mining farms because of energy consumption and other reasons which will decentralize the stranglehold they have on mining supply. This will also decrease the mining capability for a time until those resources relocate or others countries pick up the slack. China has like 65+% of the world's BTC mining capacity, so any decrease in that capacity should theoretically make BTC harder to get and more expensive. There could be a big panic dip then huge rebound if this announcement becomes official, so anyone in or looking to get into BTC should pay close attention to the situation.

The second pump will be when Wall Street comes out into the open and gets into cryptos fullbore.

Well, I am thinking about setting up a crypto farm with about 4-5 old PCs from the agency with high powered GPUS. Will see how it goes. The idea is to mine other cryptos other than Bitcoin. Will keep you posted.

That coin is so old. I had over 100,000 dogecoin 4 years ago. I joined a bitcoin dice site. The creator started a dogecoin dice site and was giving away free dogecoin to join. I was one of the first to join so I had an ID with a low number. I sold my ID for 100,000 dogecoin. My dogecoin is still out there in cyberspace somewhere. I quit keeping up with them.

I remember several joke currencies like Coinye and others that didnít last like dogecoin.

When you are overhearing conversations at the gym about crypto currency it's becoming mainstream.

The only disagreement with Buffett is there will be an end.

digital currency will exist and it's not going away
