With a defense

hopefully we can end our season the same way
You are forgetting that Von Miller and Demarcus Ware are the best pass rushers and Chris Harris is the best CB and that Emmanuel Sanders is the best number 2 WR (seriously the dude is top 10 in yards in the league).

Imagine Lavonte David or Bobby Wagner on this defense.

Yeah because we could change Earl Thomas and Weddle to FB and make a trade for them using Ward and the dream for ammo. The safety positions could them be fixed.

Denver Broncos ‏@Broncos

@DemaryiusT has five straight 100-yd. receiving games. Only 8 players in @nfl history have six straight. #DENvsOAK

This story is so played out. Even last year when they played the story my GF said "Yes we have all heard the story of his mom/Gma in prison and how he was raised by his uncle at least 2 times."

Next year is shaping up to be an interesting offseason for wide receivers. Huge names like Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas, Jeremy Maclin and Randall Cobb are set to enter free agency, while A.J. Green, Julio Jones and T.Y. Hilton will all be looking to receive contract extensions prior to the start of the 2015 season.

The dollars are expected to be huge, but in light of recent contracts, teams may just think twice before handing over huge deals to these players.

DT with his 3rd strait 1000+ yard season, 1002 yards to be exact and on pace for 1781 that won't help keep his price tag affordable.

If that's the definition you're going with, he'll absolutely be affordable.

Doesn't Mannings contract have like a 4M or so more cap hit starting in 2015?

It will be tough for these kids to hit FA and not want to cash in with a team throwing huge money at them. I wish they would've made a move with Harris earlier, but with the ACL it was hard.

You can't blame the Broncos being cautious concerning an injury like that.

You keep mentioning Joseph Addai. In his best season, he averaged barely over 70 yards/game. For his career, he averaged 4 yards/carry, which is just not very good. If we're comparing him to a pedestrian back like CJ Anderson - well, in Addai's 6 year career, he had one game with more rushing yards than what CJ Anderson has had the last two weeks. And while it's a small sample size, Anderson's 5.5 yards/carry is ridiculous.

Joseph Addai is the very definition of a serviceable running back - 157th on the all-time list.

Edgerrin James is a different story.

Yes, it jumps from 17 to 21.5 i think.

I suppose if Manning said he'd play another year, they could add another year at a cheaper price and lower it 6-7 mil or so.

With Harris, a few weeks ago they said Harris' camp sent a counter offer to the Broncos offer and nothing since then.

Wish they could have re-signed Harris before FA, if he keeps balling, it will be hard for him not to test FA. He's gonna get paid, so good.

Thomas has definitely shown that he is a dominant WR, he is on target to hit 1600+ yards and 13 TDs. That would make it his 3rd straight year with 10+ TDs and over 1400 yards. He has no significant injury history and his work ethic seems to be very good. I don't think the team can afford to let him go, I believe he should be the 2nd priority free agent behind Chris Harris.

DT and Chris Harris are my two favorite Broncos right now...lose either, I'll be crushed.

DT is as athletically gifted of a Bronco to ever lace them up. To me he looks like a player still learning how to use the gifts he has, which is a scary thought. If I had one criticism of his game - he needs to play angrier at times and do better at going up and getting the ball in traffic. He gets so much pub for YAC, yet he looks like he's trying to avoid injury when he gets tackled instead of running with attitude. And he doesn't go up and get it quite like Dez...so there is still room for improvement.

Chris Collingsworth pissed me off during the Chef game, with the "aw shucks, Chris Harris doesn't do anything great he just does lots of things well" routine. Week in and week out, Chris is tied to the hip of his assignment, and does well in run support. To my eyes he's a top 10 CB in this league hands down...I don't give a damn if he doesn't run a 4.38, isn't 6' 2", or jaw with his opponent and give fake interviews. The man does his job extremely well on a consistent basis, I don't care what anyone thought of him out of college.

I hope and pray we find a way to keep DT, Chris, Von, and Julius, but all four are going to get paid and deservedly so.

Ok, you were called out in another thread for self-bumping your own threads. I looked at a lot of your threads you started and didn't see it. But this one was mentioned by name, so I decided to watch more closely. I can see now that you in fact are shamelessly bumping this thread. Every time this thread falls off for several months, you come in here and bump it. It's one thing to start a thread that everyone else keeps bumping - like the "Around the NFL" for example. But you're the only one resurrecting this thing. It gets a few posts and then dies on page three, where you swoop in and bump it back up to page one.

Why?

Called out? You have idiots (2012-2014) making some of the most remedial trolling threads littering this once great board and you are worried about mine? A member since day one? If you had bothered to read this thread it follows DT's career. His evolution from a raw prospect to elite NFL receiver. Which is far more pertinent and compelling than 99% of the topics posted here.

As of last week Demaryius just joined a very exclusive club but your are more concerned about my posting habits. My posts will continue as I am a diehard cradle to the grave Broncos fan. You and the other handful of drama queens keep worrying about what I do and I will continue not to care.

Go Broncos!
