This isn't necessarily about Derek Carr or Matt McGloin being ready to go in and lead the Raiders....although I think Derek Carr has the potential to be a good NFL QB, it's about Matt Schaub being ready for the scrap heap.

The Seahawks are releasing Terrelle Pryor, per league source.

Interesting. Would think his upside is a bit higher than Dysert. I say he will be claimed...St. Louis?

Likely...their backup for Bradford is Shyt and won't get it done. They were thinking of just not LOSING the game on O and letting their D win what they can. Pryor has a lot more upside than that.

Also it would be sweet if he took their ( Hee Hawks) playbook along and let Fisher study it.

Yes, but Slightly less than ST Louis's current QB! And Pryor CAN be effective if given time, and is able to run if he isn't..

If Dysert is released Fisher will be looking our way too.

You do realize only one or 2 series were played by bronco starters....SERIES. Not quarters. Which by the way had no problems scoring a TD.

Are you saying the Bronco starters are better than the Raiders backups?

Maybe Carol was concerned about their TC and wanted to go into the RS on the right note. Sounds like it backfired, I didn't know Oakland beat them down, I was busy last night working on PTO stuff.

@McClain_on_NFL: Confirming #Texans have released cornerback Brandon Harris, a 2011 second-round pick. @JPalmerCSN was first to report.

Yes please, wont make it to us though.

Orton is going to need to grow his neckbeard extra thick this year - he's just signed a deal with the Bills.

Put ourselves into a corner? I haven't seen one logical football post from you. Just a bunch of blah blah blah. Guess I can't do much about that.

I know it was in the final preseason game against scrubs, but it's still a bright spot for the Raiders in an already bleak season lol.

Matt Schaub has a sore elbow, he's played like **** in the preseason, and his confidence is shot.

I think it's Derek Carr time already.

I'd start Derek Carr in Week One....what do the Raiders have to lose....besides more games?

The sooner Derek Carr get in there and starts getting experience, the better the Raiders will be in the future.

The Raiders took him at the top of the 2nd round to be their franchise QB.

If Matt Schaub was looking good or merely competent, it would be a different story, but he has a sore elbow and still looks shell shocked from last season, when he established himself as the King of the Pick Six.

If Matt Schaub were in the Game of Thrones, House Schaub's sigil would be a drawing of a defensive back running one of his pick sixes into an end zone of fire.

"King of the trINT, King of the trINT!"
Schaub wasn't at the team facility today due to an excused absence for something personal per NFL.com

I actually had fun watching mCloin throw last year. He reminded me of the old school Raider's QB's like Plunkett and the dude who lost to GB in the SB. They would make some head scratching type mistakes and look bad only to chuck on deep and hit a TD.

Haven't seen Carr play.

I think their GM wanted a Vet to stabilize the team then have the youth develop and push the Vet. Schaub never had a deep arm and it appears to be even worse this year. They made some odd moves this offseason, they could either be historically bad or beat out kFc for 3rd in the division at 7-9.

Why didn't he want to be Romo's backup in Dallas?? They were paying him over $3 million a year I believe.

maybe he didn't want to compete with an 84-year-old Brandon Weeden for backup. or maybe he just didn't want to play for Dallas. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to play for Dallas.

I've watched Carr all preseason since out here Oakland games get played. He has been making all the throws and looks legit. Problem is Oaklands Oline is trash. Some rookies with good arms have been ruined due to throwing them in too quick behind bad Olines. They have a big decision to make cause I can't see much success with schaub.
