My point is, if you weren't actually suicidal then you wouldn't be playing around with pills/razors/ropes/guns in the first place.

You're so monumentally stupid I can't even think of a response to this. Backpeddling and changing the subject won't work, by the way. Your reputation around here is already garbage and today just iced it for a lot of us - honestly your stupid dick jokes were better than the last two pages.

I'm going to save us both a lot of wasted time and put your insensitive juvenile posts on ignore because you're really no different than a troll.

Secundum quid.

When I was 19 I took a shower with a girl at a sorority house. I farted in the shower. I still got laid. Therefore, if every man farts in front of a girl, he will get laid that night.

^That's the same logical structure you're applying.

Robin dead. People getting bent over personalized generalizations over a sensitive topic. A Smurf story that ends with him getting laid.

This thread has something for everyone.

me personally? I don't think you meant to be insensitive. I just think you're a idiot.

I'd like to add. Its funny how you talk about derailing threads when you are a natorius offender yourself. Back to the kitchen, and let men speak

What she said was ridiculously stupid. But there are plenty of people in my family that think like her.

I can tolerate her because she's well intentioned. She does need to be told when she's making an ass of herself though.

Just say "I'm wrong" and shut up.

Why would anyone argue with someone about suicide attempts that they've had to deal with in their lives?

There are people who use this as a cry for help. She is correct there.
However Kahn's stats lend credibility to his point. However her using it as in all cases...

Robin Williams was probably my favorite comedian coming up as a kid. Its a sad day for me.

One of the funniest things I remember from Robin from when I was little was he hosted SnL and they did this birthing bit where Robin was making the wife hold the camera during the delivery. He's screaming at her KEEP ME IN FRAME KEEP ME FRAME whiles she is having contractions making jokes something like the Dr. is going to catch the baby like Johnny Bench. Was great stuff...

Way too many sensitive people in this thread.
Neither Kaylore nor Chrissy is actually wrong.
Some people do in fact attempt to kill themselves when they reach a low point and cannot think of a another solution. It does not always work and some do in fact realize they truly want to live and fight the demons they are facing.

Others succeed in taking their lives. Some fail at it and try it again until they succeed.
Depression is a horrible thing and unless you have to live in the mind of that person you will never truly know what kind of personal hell that person is going through in their mind.

Sometimes it is simply a matter of feeling alone and miserable.
Often times all the worldly pleasures you are able to enjoy make you feel even lonelier than ever.
I had an acquaintance of mine who was one of the smartest people I have ever met or known in my life.
He used to give me some advice that has served me well to this day.
He lost most of his money in the stock market when the economy went in the tank, he couldn't maintain his way of life. He fell into a deep depression, he went out to his garage, he rigged the opener with a chain and shot gun.
He hit the button on his remote garage door opener, the shot gun went off almost as planned. The issue was that the movement of the door caused it to shift ever so slightly, instead of shooting him in the head and killing him instantly he instead was shot in the left side of his throat and slowly and painfully bleed out to death for hours.

His son came home and found him later on that day.

Several years back a member on ONTD (celebrity gossip site) posted
a link to a documentary called The Bridge that captures suicide jumps. I saw it on youtude that night and had a hard time sleeping.

It's heartbreaking to watch them feel so lost and helpless.

If someone is sad, please listen to them and don't judge them.

Would be great if we could post some of our favorite Robin Williams skits and clips. I never saw the one AbbA is talking about, the golf skit.
