My point being and others have shared we have demented enough. There is no more upside to Booker or PL. in fact Iím not even sure PL could start in a lesser league. Booker is a warm body. I was pulling for him thinking he would be the difference maker last year when he came back to play Philly. Man was I wrong. He has done nothing special as a Bronco. Maybe you are under reacting? Imho

I think you quoted the wrong person but ya I agree with you.

Huh? We were 5th in rushing yards allowed and 1st in yards per carry last season.

Stats. I hate giving up big runs. Especially teams scoring against us on the ground. UDFA Roc Thomas had 131 yards on 11 touches and 2 TDs, and the Vike's best guard and starting center weren't on the field. Even in the first preseason game, that's an anomaly. I already had little faith in Joe Woods. That faith is getting weaker after seeing them give up 42 points, much of it on the ground.

We gave up a very small number of big runs last year. Your narrative that the run defense is always bad is just weird. It was bad in 2016, and only 2016, in terms of recent years.

Brandon marshall's inability to diagnose and shed led to 3 big runs last night

That's on top of the lbs being woeful in coverage. Jewell should start immediately and supplant Marshall as the 3 down lb

Broncos have never replaced Trevathan.

What does that have to do with the fact that their run defense last year was quite good?

Ugh, yes. Marshall had one good year (because of Trevathan) and is quite the liability now, along with that albatross of a contract.
