Brandin Cooks better than Sammy Watkins?

Yeah, how could someone the same age, with 88 more catches, 891 more yards, 2 more TDs and more playoff experience in 4 fewer starts possibly be considered better?

Cooks had Brees and Brady.

Watkins had Manuel Orton and Co..

Pretty sure Cooks stats would drop if he had **** at QB.

Hard to compare WRs based on stats when the QB discrepancy is high.

While true most of the time, Watkins was on the number 1 offense in the league last season...and was incredibly mediocre. Are Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp THAT much better than him?

I dont know what Woods and Kupp Target numbers were but Watkins targets were pretty low. Iím not saying Watkins is some great WR, just that itís hard to base stats when the QBs differ so much. Coming off a bad foot with a screw floating around in it takes some time too. What impressed me was that he grew up in 2017. Iíd take Cooks attitude and approach over Watkins but hes finally growing up.

Cooks has been consistently better, that's why St Louis switched them out. Watkins has been a career disappointment, which is too bad because he was a bad ass in college. His career catch% is 55.7, that is not good. It's worse than Dwayne Bowe and Jeremy Macklin, the last 2 KC WR we were supposed to be so afraid of.

Both WRs are being ridiculously over paid based on past performance.
Both were bad asses in college.
Both have similar stat lines in the pros.
One has had a significant foot injury.

I would bet on Cooks having a better stat line this year than Watkins.

Former Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday.

I thought he retired last year the way he played for da Queefs.

Every good FA is overpaid. You have to actually pay good players unless you want to try to get a value with scrubs like Donald Stephenson or Manelik Watson.

The Chiefs are also paying Mahomes and Hunt pennies the next 3 years and Tyreek the next 2, so I really donít see a big deal about the money.

Sammy Watkins is a huge bust and cooks is overrated and now overpaid. At least the rams have an awesome running game and a defense.

Yep.

IMO Nor cal has the best announcers in all sports over the years. Giants broadcast canít be mimicked. Papa made raiders games tolerable. Thatís a feat in itself. Fitz a boss for Warriors. Sharks team legit. Niners team isnt anything special though.

Sammy Watkins was dominant on three specific routes in 2017

No one will tell you Sammy Watkins was an elite receiver in 2017. He caught just 39 passes for 593 yards and eight touchdowns, putting up numbers youíd expect to see from a No. 2 or 3 receiver.

Part of the reason his stats were so disappointing was that he was hardly targeted by Jared Goff. He only had 70 passes come his way all year, which only ranked fourth on his own team. When the ball was thrown in his direction, he was reliable. Watkins didnít drop a single pass in the regular season, making difficult grabs in traffic.

Heís arguably at his best when going over the middle with defenders all around him. And according to Pro Football Focus, the numbers are there to back it up. He was dominant on these three in-breaking routes, ranking well above average in terms of passer rating.

Tony Sparano, Vikings OL coach and former head coach for the Raiders and Dolphins, dies at 56. Was going to church and wife found him collapsed in the kitchen. Sad, too young.

I saw it on my news feed. I thought it was a joke at first. 56 is way to early.
