For sure... and real life's been kinda busy of late, and just going to get busier with summer parties, barbecues, and, of course, the upcoming wedding.

Yeah, the thread was pretty huge (lots of posts) back in the early days when the server would suddenly freak out and duplicate threads....

Our daughters are performing at a church talent show on Saturday... with proceeds to benefit the youth group's annual mission to Mexico. And then the band (Make Me Shiver) is performing later Saturday night. I think we'll be able to catch both shows, but we might be a tad late for the second one.... which means we may have problems finding a place to sit.

Just had a person that used to be our landlord call me at work and offer me a job! That's a lot of nerve, if you ask me! Needless to say, I'm just not interested.

I get job offers all the time, but this was bold! I just had to laugh.

Anyway, day is almost over and I'm already counting down to the weekend! Looking forward to Friday night!!

It's only because I live in an area where there are not enough people who do what I do and have the qualifications. I'm really happy in my job and the company I work for.

I guess they say if someone is not available it makes them more desired? hahaha, Yeah, well, not really. But, hey...it's a nice idea!

You should tell your boss that an increased demand for your services coupled with a decrease in supply of available workers should correlate to a pay increase. When he looks at you all crazy just tell him its simple economics and walk off.

It's one reason WHY I love my job. And, no stress. Very rarely does my job require more out of me that would stress me out. I've had my share of high stress jobs. NO thanks, I've paid my dues. There's more to a job than just financial (of which they take very good care of me)!

I get to work for my father in law for about 2/3 what I could make somewhere else.

I do get to work on some really cool bikes though and he works around my school schedule. And I can sneak in some mane peaks now and then.

IMO, it's more important to enjoy what you do (as long as you can pay your bills, though )

Don't settle. Keep looking for something better and that you might find some sort of joy out of. Use it for a great reference. At least that's what I did. Heck, I remember working for a company that did telephone surveys. I was the one sitting on the phone taking surveys.

HAHA, oh I have stories of that job. But, I hated it. It was the most BORING job in the world. I delivered newspapers one summer so that I wouldn't have to put my daughter in daycare. That job sucked, too. Up EVERY morning at 2am...no days off. But, hey, she did it with me, so it was a lot of fun. We turned it into a game.

Yup, I couldn't agree more! I like that idea, too.

I guess my philosophy on jobs and most things in my life has always been not to settle for just anything that comes along. Figure out what I want and don't waste time with things that keep me from it. Sometimes it means taking a risk, sometimes it just fell into my lap. I guess that's why I love taking chances.
