If he needs picks, trade anyone for anything then.

I think DT still has a ton of value and I would not be upset to see him retire as a Bronco but Sutton sure made that difficult. It isn't DT's fault that when he does break free and gets a couple steps on a CB that he has to wait for Keenut's weak ducks that hang foreverS and allow the CB's to catch up to him as he makes the catch.

Put a stronger armed QB back there and all of our WR's will look good.

Also I think Sunshine is about to come back, he would take over Hamilton's role until he gets back, Patrick would get more snaps and I think they still have that returner on the PS they could call up cheaply.

What I see happening is teams calling to ask for the more explosive Sanders and John saying no to that but that they are willing to talk about DT at which point they have to think about it due to his deal.

The other big plus from trading DT before the trade deadline would be the ability to extend guys like Shelby Harris, Shaq Barrett, and maybe even Shane Ray (which is odd that his name isn't being floated). Maybe John wants to low ball Ray for a 1 or 2 year prove it deal? That one is another head scratcher. He is still great for depth as they like to rotate both pass rushing OLBs out at the same time.

I would love to see them dump Marshall for a 6th and let Jewel start the rest of the way. He needs snaps to develop and he also has earned them.

That seems to get lost with the casual....

Sutton is a redzone weapon who could do everything MamaMia is looking for. Just throw to him and it’s likely a PI. Keenum throws it 10 yards out of bounds.

Sutton is being wasted this season by a ****ty QB. Needs more targets in the redzone.

I think/hope Kelly would target Sutton more. He made Treadwell a similar receiver a 1st round pick.

Eagles reportedly offered a 2 for Cooper. So they really want WR. You’d think they’d strongly consider DT. Stay tuned.

Eagles have two 2nds, but not sure how much they'd value him. They do need receiver help badly though.

Patrick Peterson today said he wants out. AZ needs a receiver.

How sad is it that we are actually talking about trading the 2nd best Bronco receiver ever? (Rod Smith is always and will forever be number one and you can fight me if you think otherwise. )

Very sad. I'd like to see him restructure and retire as a Bronco. He still has gas in the tank.

Wonder what they'd give for Thomas and Ray? A playoff team can always use another pass rusher.

I would love a 2nd for DT.

I think they would have trouble fitting him under their cap though and would be in cap hell next year.

Maybe if they worked a deal 1st to extend him. Could be what is taking so long.

PHIL has no cap space. This would be a pure rental and revisit at seasons end situation.

AZ's not going to pay in a situation like this. DT's contract is unworkable next year. This year is meaningless to teams like AZ.

Has to be someone in the hunt. And we may have to eat some salary just to make that possible.

Generally I’d agree, but teams like the Eagles that think they’re a couple of players away from being in the Lombardi Trophy hunt may be willing to overpay. If they were willing to give up a 2 for Cooper, they mean business. Which doesn’t mean they want DT, but it does make it at least a possibility.

Ugh. Eat some salary. Hes due a boat load. PHIL has BALT's 2nd and their own 2nd. Neither will be high next year, but that would allow Elway room to trade out of the 1st and get another 1st for 2020.

I'm sure they value Cooper as a 24 year old who they can get years out of and has upside. They look at DT as a guy who is slipping every week, on and expensive deal and can't beat man to man consistently anymore. They could sign Dez for peanuts and get the same guy pretty much.

But the headache that comes with DEZ is yuuuuge. He needed a 24hr round the clock babysitter in DAL. Thats why he isnt signed with anyone.
Pedersen isnt putting up with that crap. His locker room is tight right now.
DT would allow them to do alot with Alshon. That deep safety would have his hands full with Wentz.

People would roll the dice on his behavior especially since they could sign him for nothing. The real reason is he has dropped off and is just another guy at this point. Teams dont need to double him and mediocre CB can play him man to man.

And when he doesn't get open, or get the ball, he gets all mad and pouts on the sideline.

I think a third-round selection, as well as a conditional day 2 pick is as good as it is going to get if Thomas is moved.

It's the amount of high picks Elway wants. He needs draft capital to move up and get a QB or trade down out of the 1st and bank roll 1st round picks for the following year which is a deep draft class at QB.

Agree on Rod Smith. DT is overrated. He's had his moments and helped us win some games but he's never been this unstoppable force some people make him out to be. Very average to below average hands, effort is really inconsistent, he's never used his size to it's full advantage. I'm not saying he's not good or even great at times but he's very replaceable and definitely not worth the money.
