me too

I am not upset about any scene just pointing out that it would be an incredible bit of luck to hit that kid running away at that distance. So its understandable that other people would point that out.

You took the words out of my mouth!

Ramsey likes to play with people and that was his whole plan. It worked until the Vale came. I don't understand how it was so unbelievable. Also, when Wun Wun broke the gate why wouldn't he take him out first. That is a freaking giant why wouldn't you make sure he's dead. Also, he wanted to mess with Jon even more which is why he wanted to tease him first. Jon Snow is the best fighter on the show but he has no tactical skills. Ramsey actually had a stradegy that played on Jon's nobility and temper.

At the same time or one at a time? Cause both at once would definitely kill him.

I made this point about a month ago when people complained about Bran time traveling.

I haven't seen it yet. I cruised through this thread, scanned to the bottom, and left this note. I feel like I just popped a wheelie for 50 yards on a Friday night cruise night and all my friends saw it.

That was a great episode. This show does an excellent job with their giant big screen caliber set pieces, and it keeps getting bigger. That extended shot of Snow in the middle of the battle was brilliantly executed

One story point that threw me though... Sansa was begging Jon to wait until they had more men... meanwhile she'd written a letter to Baelish asking for men. She kept that from Jon for some reason, when simply telling him that probably convince him to hold off. So Sansa withholding that info essentially led to that initial force getting slaughtered. It's a plot device so they can get that moment where the forces Sansa gathered save the day, which was admittedly pretty effective, but that initial scene where Sasna was begging Jon to hold off is really odd when you know she was working on gathering more troops.

With this kind of Archery, Ramsey may have been the greatest warrior in Westeros. Regardless, he trotted it out one time essentially to be a dick, the retired to his horse to watch his army get raped without ever firing another shot.

It was a disconnect. I was lolzing.

When they charged to battle, that was some great filmmaking.

Maybe Sansa was smart enough to know all the Wildlings needed to die.

The ground level shots of Jon fighting through the mess of the battle was absolutely stunning. It gave you an immersed view of what was happening without the useless multiple shaky camera angles that you see in most battle scenes.

That was the best battle scene I have ever seen in any show or film.

But it was mostly the loyal Northern houses that got slaughtered as they had the horses and charged first.

After watching it like 4 times I think the best part is is when Ramsey see's Snow emerge from the melee and Ramsey realizes he's wholely lost. And the look on Snows face is priceless.

For TV, the cinematography was epic. But greatest battle scene?

Ramsey's strategy was generally comical. And the corpse wall was a little 300 for my taste.

These weren't huge armies. And it didn't feel like they were. Until they were dead.

And the fact that I was laughing at the opening Legolas Bolton salvo probably didn't help.

I'm really wondering how bad they're going to get effed over in all this. You get the feeling it's coming.
