Interestingly, I guess the etymological background of the whole Green Envy thing comes, at least to modern English speakers, from the very Shakespeare rendered blasphemous here on the Mane. It seemed fitting on that level and within thread context.

Quote:
O, beware, my lord, of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster, which doth mock
The meat it feeds on. That cuckold lives in bliss,
Who, certain of his fate, loves not his wronger:
But O, what damnèd minutes tells he o'er
Who dotes, yet doubts, suspects, yet strongly loves!

Probly a mé·nage à trois of Lust, Greed, and Pride on that one.

Open to other interpretations, obviously.

I find it to best to worry about one's self and how we conduct ourselves as opposed to what other people are doing.

Anyone else see the list of the seven deadly sins as nearly identical to a personality profile for Trump? This is who the “Christians” in this country zealously support...

Yeah, I see where some complaints come from. Some are justified.

But worshiping at the altar of income "equality" is what doesn't make any sense to me.

If your wage relative to CPI or the like holds or improves, why do you care whether the richest guys have 100 billion or 10 trillion dollars? Makes virtually no difference to me.

If it’s the same one I saw what they “did” was spend a whole lot of time worrying about being disinherited because they had no clue what work is.

Sounds exactly like Trump actually.

Because wages for most people have been stagnant for decades, even as the overall wealth of the country has exploded (off of their hard work). Are you seriously this clueless?

And particularly since the 2007-08 financial crisis.

Name the time in history you'd rather live in. And I'm not talking about 2009. Name some other era in non-recent history you think was better for your average person.

And if anyone's "hard work" was exploited in their explosion in gains, it was most likely foreign, so you still haven't really made the case.

1950-1980, if we’re talking economy.

That should be a no-brainer for anyone who recalls what life in America was like before the Red Ink Reagan Revolution.

Thats because you’re the guy being told to go to the meetings you’re not the guy the meetings are for. You don’t control your schedule other people do. That’s why you “try” to leave it open.
