I posted just his name 4-5 times during that period of time because everybody knew I thought he was the best QB prospect in the draft...including Wentz and Goff.

His upside is crazy good, but he's gonna take a couple years to get there.

The good part about the whole situation (for a Chiefs fan) is that (according to Dan Patrick) KC sent scouts (that know far more about QBs that me, or anyone else here) to every game last season of Paxton's and during the draft didn't try to move up to get him and on top of that, had a deal in place with Dallas to move down if he was still available at 28.

Want another interesting tidbit about that period of time?

I called the shot that Denver would trade up in front of KC to take Lynch in October/November.

I can link that, but I'd rather not waste the time.
Huh. Man you guys give up early.

Surprising though. Lynch hadn't declared. Wentz wasn't on anyone's radar at that point, but I mostly didn't think anyone would actually have those kinds of conversations in October in the first place.

Chef Fandom's a whole different animal though.

I always try to follow the NFL and the college game.

And it doesn't matter if he declared or not.

When you play for Memphis and NFL teams are scouting you heavily, you'd be a fool to risk injury to come back for another year.

10-15 years ago, Lynch probably stays in college another year...but supply and demand dictated that he needed to come out early and most people that followed it, knew as much.

haha but they had Brown, Williams and Bell healthy, too.

Not like you guys needing a beat up Rothlisberger and no Antonio Brown/Demorio Williams/Bell to advance past Pittsburgh in the playoffs....and even then it was close.

We can go back and forth like this all day, but why?

Uh, because that's what you do. All the time.

Anyway, it was close when PIT edged us out in Pittsburgh too.

It's the way of the NFL.

Unfortunately for Chorf fans, there are no trophies for "If, And, and But" alternate realities.

The same game Schwartz got beat like a drum by Shaq Barrett.

Von was facing Joe Thomas more than Schwartz that day.

I remember when Von Miller dominated the Panthers and won the Super Bowl but you keep up with your CLEV FA scrubs while Denver just wins Super Bowls.

I remember when Bubby Brister started for us on a Monday night game and kFc players like Thomas were talking trash and they ended up getting embarrassed and Thomas got thrown out.

Aha! a new name for the Chiefs. I had just adopted the KCMF Chiefs (Kansas City Missouri F'n Chiefs) but now I think I will go with the ChIfs.

Hey....I'm a Chiefs fan and am happy to have watched them win a playoff game for the first time since I used to actually play football.

It had been a long time and I'm happy with just that accomplishment and hope the team can stay healthy in 2016 so they have a chance to do even bigger things.

Congrats on being able to watch the team you root for win a title in a year it was improbable to do so.

I'm happy for you guys.

You don't get to brag about being right when you're infamous for predicting dozens of mutually exclusive, contradictory outcomes. You seem to think you have supernatural insight or something, but you're really, really, bad at predicting anything with accuracy. You're the living embodiment of a broken clock being right twice a day. The clock is still broken, even when it happens to be showing the correct time.

Typical loss, I bet he was thinking "They have to respect me now that I mentioned my JV playing days!".

I bet he is the dude who calls into sports talk shows and says "I know all about football because I played in high school, the chefs have the best secondary in all of..."

Here's what I got on Donald Stephenson/Micheal Schofield against the Raiders:

Week 13 (came off the bench at LG due to injury on the 1st series):
Donald Stephenson (LG) - 0 sacks, 1 hit, 0 pressures

Week 17 (1st start in 10 games):
Donald Stephenson (RT) - 0 sacks, 0 hits, 3 pressures

Week 14 (10th consecutive start at RT)
Micheal Schofield (RT) - 4 sacks, 2 QB hits

None of Stephenson's pressures came before 2.7 seconds. Overall, Stephenson did a good job of staying in front of Khalil Mack and keeping his hands on him. Stephenson did let Mack by once, which was a late hit penalty on Mack (not counted as a hit). Above-average run blocker.

Overall, Donald Stephenson is a massive upgrade over Micheal Schofield at RT. Should have no problem shutting down the vast majority of NFL pass-rushers. Held Khalil Mack to ZERO QB sacks and ZERO QB hits. Stephenson is one of the few NFL RT's to have success against Khalil Mack in 2016. I suspect that's one of the main reasons why the Broncos signed him.

DB4L says PFF credits Stephenson with 6 pressures against Mack. Half of those were Alex Smith's fault by leaving the pocket early and running right for no reason, other than his WR's couldn't get open. Mack gave chase as Smith ran right, but that's not Stephenson's fault.

Loss Chef wrong again.

Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha h

Watch the ****ing game.

"Alex ran for no reason" yeah, I'm sold.

You guys got an all pro guy in Donald Stephenson.

Congrats!

Stephenson was flat out owned that day by Mack....among PLENTY of other times he was, as well.

I can't wait for Kubiak to iso Stephenson on Justin Houston.

That's gonna be fun to watch.

New season, new challenges. Broncos gonna adjust and move forward with new and young talent. The Broncos didn't draft oline help and I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
