Based on the history of our two franchises I'm going to have to put my money on your team sucking and ours figuring out a way to continue to be competitive, but whatever, everyone here knows you are nuts...

While John is finding the next Franchise QB kFc will be giving away 2 years worth of high draft picks for the next San Fran QB Bust.

I could see kFc giving at least the same comp for Kapernick that they gave for Alice.

I trust that John will find a way to field the best QB he can get his hands on. I trust that kFc will continue to sift over the NFL trash bin for a gamemanager who is asked not to lose the game.

That's king Carl. Pretty sure he's not here anymore. Who did Dorsey draft in GB? How about Andy?

What have they done in kFc besides catch a string of teams starting 2nd and 3rd stringers last year and eek out some wins?

3 game losing streak with the playoffs on the line. They are getting run on and their O cannot produce points or even yards.

Just wait another 2 years until Manning retires right?

It's hilarious. Even if he gets his wish and the Broncos drop to the level of the Chiefs, the Chargers will still have Rivers and the Chiefs will still not being winning the division.

His contract makes it where they're stuck with him until 2017 unless they cut him after this year.

Even when Manning is gone, SD would be division favorites unless they didnt keep Rivers.

McCoy and co are building are a good team there.

I dont think Brock is the guy but i know they wont look for a retread like Alex Smith.

Maybe by the time Manning hangs em up, Drew Brees will be released from The Saints. That's when Elway steps in again...

Denver has already shown with Tebow they don't need a qb to beat Kansas City

Kansas City has shown they are inept as a franchise through decades and decades of irrelevance

With top picks going to guys like Fisher, Dee Ford, and the trading of MULTIPLE second round picks for Alex Smith this current FO has also shown how clueless they are

It looks like they will continue the KC tradition of being a garbage franchise at least for the foreseeable future

As long as Elway doesn't trade multiple second round picks for a ****ty dink dunk check down artist he will already be ahead of the KC curve

Instead they give up two 2's for Alex Smith! Brilliant!

Doesn't Alice cost them $40 mill in dead money next year if they cut him this year? The only good thing about that contract is after 2016 his dead money is lower but they have to live with him and his dump off attempts on 4th and 15 for at least one more full season.

What is great about them winning 7 games so far is that it will cost them a blue chip player or 2 in the draft, they will be picking mid to high instead of at the top where they need to be with all those needs at WR, OL, QB, RB, DL, LB, CB and Safety.

Their MVP is their punter this year. Without him and his FP and the gunners forcing fumbles they are maybe a 2 win team.

He's practically guaranteed to be in KC for the next 2 years. They could possibly cut him after next year but then you'll be carrying around 10+ MM in dead cap space which is unlikely. After 2 years, the dead money goes down to 7 MM which is still a lot. Only until after 3 years does the dead space get to a manageable 3.6 MM.

This is an embarrassing statement for all chiefs fans.
Saying that when Manning retires and the broncos are bad, we will still be level with KC. Basically saying even at the Broncos lowest, the Chiefs will never be better, just equal. It's a very true statement for Chiefs fans, but a very sad one for them.

Well, they'd have 3.8 if they put it as a June-1 cut.

But 10 mil in dead money for 2016, and none the rest of the way.

But i find it hard to believe they cut him after extending him.

Yes though, unless they cut him after this year, they're stuck with him for the next 2 seasons.

This has to be some sort of record

They traded 2 second round picks and 45 million for a guy who is less effective throwing to WRs than Tim Tebow
Just
I have no idea how it's possible. It's gotta be a record.

Even back in the 1940's this had to have been hard to do, the reason they had receivers spread out wide was to get them down field to throw to and score. The fact that kFc has not been able to do that for a full year is amazing. Especially now that the NFL is a wide open passing league with a foul system set up to help the passing game.

If they are going to keep dumping the ball off they should go to a 3 TE set to throw out of, not to run out of.

And John Elway has drafted who the last 2 drafts? An overrated DL and a CB who isn't as good as the one we got in round 3? A RB who got replaced?

Year one he got a layup draft pick in Von and a TE that benefits greatly from Manning and can't block (Shannon sharpe told us so!)

Chris Harris, Malik Jackson and trevathan were good value picks. Let's not act like Elway is Ozzie Newsome or John Schneider.

Why were the chiefs in such a hurry to extend Smith? Why not wait til after the season, then evaluate him? Answer: Chiefs suck.

They acted as if teams would be lining up for an average game manager that can't throw over 10 yards.

Huh? We get 3x as much money back to the cap compared to dead money every year if he's a post June 1st cut.
